Car naps are evil!

DD fell asleep on the way home from taking DH to his Dr's office (he's taking meds right now that he can't drive while taking.) She slept fror maaaaaaybe 25 minutes and woke up crying as soon as I closed the door to her room! Now she's terribly fussy and I can't get shit done that I need to do. Stupid car nap!

Neither one of my kids has ever been able to transfer, so I feel your pain. You should see the things I do in the car to keep her awake. And I never give the paci in the car. Ever.

I don't think I've ever gotten her out of the convertible car seat without waking her up I need to remember to put a book in the car.

I'm extra cranky because my nipples really hurt. She kept tugging them and clawed them while we were out and she was nursing. I need to remember to trim her nails!

I have been able to transfer a few times. Usually it's only when he is really tired.

Damn dog barks every time we walk in the door. Any chance of transferring are lost with that first bark.

that's the exact reason I just keep driving. We have driven on every single road within a 15 mile radius of our house so I have a change of scenery each time lol.

I can usually transfer, but I still feel like superwoman when I do it to.

I have driven a lot of the area roads when I'm super desperate as well for a change of pace just like @jnsmith85

Team park car in driveway and sit and relax in running car (providing AC/heat) until a.) suitable nap time had been reached or b.) baby wakes up.

If it's a short ride I put the windows down and try to keep him up. I usually can. Longer rides I drive all over the place until he wakes up. It's getting to the point where I can't be putting my windows down anymore though. I've never been able to get him into the crib from his seat.

Same here. Now, DH heads in first and lets the dogs out while I attempt to transfer. It works about 50% of the time.

Every day coming home from daycare DS has a nap and I can generally transfer him to his crib with 99% success. Other car rides and transfers? 50% chance.

I hate car naps as well! I've managed to transfer twice. Usually he'll wake up as soon as the car door opens. So if I can I'll just sit in the car & mess around on my phone to give him some extra time.
