Re: ~*~*Our March Memories 9/22/14~*~*

  • AFM:  I still don’t have my official paper calendar in hand, but I got a call at the end of the week from the nurse in charge of scheduling.  My FET is scheduled for October 30th!  Now we just have to pray that some of my frozen embryos make it through the thaw and my body cooperates!  I’m definitely bummed it’s at the end of the month, but it gives me time to make it through the busiest month for my grad classes.  I had to have a sit down with DH at the end of the week and ask for more help around the house.  I’ve been so stressed with going back to school and taking care of all of my home responsibilities.  Stress is one thing that is NOT good for my FET so I need as much help keeping my stress level down as possible.  I feel much better that I got everything off of my chest and he’s been a lot more helpful these past few days.  Hope he keeps it up :)
QOTW:  My first job was as a camp counselor.

@Frenchteachermama - Thanks for the check-in! Congrats are getting your FET scheduled! I hope it goes great! I'm glad you had a talk with YH and hopefully that will decrease your stress level. That is definitely a MUST before your FET!

AFM, my first post-D&C AF showed up on Saturday and crosshairs showed up on FF. So I'm pretty excited about both of those things. 1 cycle under my belt, one more to go before we can TTC. Other than that, not a whole lot going on. School continues. Job search continues. Nothing new in either of those two areas.

QOTW - My first job was at McDonald's. It actually was kind of fun since I was in high school and so was pretty much everyone else who worked there, so it was pretty social.

Thanks for the check-in FTM! Calming vibes coming your way!
@ctk181 yay for one cycle down.

AFM: I am finally getting over this cold I got. I am now just working up the motivation to get back to my fitness goals. November will be here before I know it and if I am not down at least 10 lbs before we can ttc again I will be very disappointed.

Oh and FF changed my CHs so I am less nervous that I didn't listen to my dr, but I guess time will tell if the new CHs are even correct.

ETA First job was as a stock girl at a wholesale warehouse.

    Hi Ladies,

On CD3, so this past cycle ended with a BFN. Cried it out on Saturday, so I think I've moved past that one.

QOTW: First job was working as a Salad Bar Attendant at Shoney's. I had fun working there.

@Frenchteachermama I'm glad you have a date scheduled for your FET

IUI#3 brought us our dragon baby Z

  • @Frenchteachermama‌ I hope everything is successful and your stress level stays down!

@ctk181‌ long time since we've talked. Woo 1 cycle down, that's exciting! Pretty soon you'll be able to TTC.

@Nieko0423‌ I hope you reach your goals! I'm joining a challenge group starting Oct 6 and doing the 21 day fix. I'm excited!

@Cheetara2‌ I'm sorry to hear about you BFN!

I have had a crazy week and I haven't been able to get on here much. My in laws were in town and staying with us. It was fun but now I'm glad to be back to normal!

Today my OB called me to give us the results of the genetic testing after the D&C. It came back that our baby (girl) had Turner's Syndrome. If you're not familiar with it (I wasn't) it's when she only has 1 X chromosome instead of the usual 2. He told me that this is a fluke that happens randomly and that it wasn't something my DH and I passed to her. I am so relieved that we have an answer. I'm glad that it wasn't something that could have been prevented but I of course wish we never had to go through this. Now I think it will be easier to move on and I'm gearing up to TTC after 2 my cycles!

My first job was at a popular ice cream place near me called Whitey's Ice Cream. It was a blast but I'm pretty sure I gained 20 lbs working there eating all of the ice cream! :D

  • @Nieko0423 Glad you are feeling better. I also am committing to getting back to the gym. I really want to lose 10-15 lbs before we TTC again. I'm happy that FF changed your CH and I hope that it turns out to be right!

@Cheetara2 - Sorry about your BFN. :-( Hugs to you! FX for you on this cycle!

@bansel92813 - Glad to see you back here! I'm so relieved to hear that you have an answer on the cause of your loss and that it is just something random. Even though it does not make the loss any easier, it is nice to have an explanation, so I am glad you got one. Hope your 2 cycles fly by!

  • FTM thank you for the check in. My apologies for my lack of appearance these past few weeks. Like I've mentioned, September is very busy around our house and I would probably loose my head if it wasn't attached.

@ctk181‌ 1 to go! Hope this cycle fly's by for you.

@Nieko0423‌ I'm glad your feeling better. Like clockwork this time of year I always end up with a sinus infection. Almost to the week!

@Cheetara2‌ I'm sorry to hear about you BFN. Positive vibes for this cycle.

bansel92813 Glad you got some answers. That's a small relief.

AFM, September is crazy for us. Birthdays upon birthdays, and top it with our wedding anniversary. Which thanks to my mother reminding me is Wednesday! I had my betas drawn the second week of September and finally got around to calling the doctors office for my results on Thursday last week. As important as that is to me I still loss track of it. 8-| My new magic number was 11 :D We were told that that is good enough and to wait until AF so they have a date to base it off of before TTC again. MH is very excited to start again. He's like an ostrich and part of me feels its his was of coping. Only thing I am a tad bit nervous about is, we had a party a week ago and over indulged a little with friends resulting in a really awesome night. And possibly some added husband wife time... We've been doing really well... until then. Common. Beer pong, bonfires, slip and flip (which is a blast by the way) we got caught up in the heat of the moment. <:-P

Thanks for the check in @Frenchteachermama‌ ! My betas last Thursday were down to 94 (from 490 the previous week) and AF arrived on Saturday! A bit shocked she came with hcg in you system, but I'm not complaining. Spoke with the OB this morning and he said that no more blood tests are required with the arrival of AF and my quickly decreasing numbers, so that's a relief. I have a sonohysterogram booked for October 2, and they will do my betas then. After that, the testing is over! Need to wait until the end of this cycle and then we are off the bench :D

  • Thanks for the check-in @Frenchteachermama. I'll be sending T&P's your way for your FET. I can definitely relate with the grad school stress. I actually got to work this morning and realized I had a test in less than 3 hours that I COMPLETELY forgot about over the weekend while we moved into a new house. I hope the school stress is minimal for you in the coming weeks!

AFM, I'm totally lost with what's going on this month. I started about six days early, then only had somewhat light bleeding for about four days, which is short for me. Since August, I've let up a little with the obsession over OPK's. I'm having a really hard time temping, since I don't wake up at the same time every day. How does everyone else do it? Just set an alarm really early each day then go back to sleep if you don't have to get up? Also, I see my new OB/GYN on October 29th, so I'm excited for that and the possibility of actually getting some answers.

  • @sgarmand DH works six days a week so for me I am up at almost the same time every day. I don't worry too much about the time on the weekends. However I've herd a few woman mention that they have an alarm set. Odds are if I forget once I forget the following day. So I moved my thermometer is next to my glasses. Problem solved.

Noticed I forgot my QOTW: My first job was staples. I worked their all through high school and mostly full time from junior and senior year.

  • Hi @frenchteachermama and the other March mommas! Things have been good and I've held it together for the most part this week.  My friend who was due with her twins had them on Tuesday and I have been very supportive...via text and FB that is.  I haven't built up enough emotional strength to actually go and see her and the girls yet, but that will come in time, I'm sure.  I'm happy they arrived healthy and everything, but it just reminded me...in a BIG way of what I am NO WHERE CLOSE to having ANYTIME SOON.  DH asked me today when we should avoid having sex to avoid getting pregnant and it hit me again that I'm no where close to even thinking about getting pregnant again.  I'm okay, for the time being, but I feel like there is going to be another incident that is going to send me into a downward spiral.  I know I can't think this way and I have to remain positive, but I'm just starting to feel a little alone in this journey.

That's why I'm so thankful for you ladies, even if I'm not around a whole heck a lot.

QOTW: My first job was as a server in a nursing home and I loved it! I worked with my best friends and it was tons of fun!  My worst job was maybe as a "camp counselor" for a daycare summer camp.  It was just kind of a joke and I really did not enjoy it at all.

  • @frenchteachermama - Thanks for the check in!

I'm having a rough week.  My cousin, whom I'm very close with, called me Saturday to tell me he and his wife were expecting, due 19 days after my due date.  He knew of the loss, and I know it was hard for him to tell me.  I am truly happy for them, but as soon as I was off the phone I cried for a good 45 minutes.  Then I felt like a horrible person.

Anyways, on the plus side, AF finally arrived, so there's some sense of returning to normal.

    Hope everyone is doing well.

FTM thank you for the check in.

YAY for dropping betas!!  I hope that AF shows soon and you can get back on the TTC train!

YAY so happy for you!!!!!!!!  I hope that everything goes smoothly with the sonohysterogram!  Please keep us posted!

Thanks for the check-in @Frenchteachermama.

QOTW: My first job was at Pier 1. I miss my employee discount.
UGH...school is so hard!!  As for temping and opks, it definitely is so easy to drive yourself crazy.  Temping was always really tough for me because I don't sleep well when I'm temping.  A lot of women do set an alarm and then go back to sleep but I'm one of those people when I'm up I'm up.  I think if I were to do it all over again I would just have lots of sex and use OPKs instead of losing so much sleep with temping!

Hi @frenchteachermama and the other March mommas!

((hugs)) Lia.  I'm so sorry for everything you've been through.  For some reason seeing and holding babies is so much easier than seeing pregnant women.  I just love to hold little babies and they are a distraction, pregnant women bother me so much more.  I know that you and DH are waiting quite a while before TTC again but do you have a plan?  Feel free to ignore my question if you're not ready to answer it!!  We're here for you hon!

@frenchteachermama - Thanks for the check in!

You are NOT a horrible person.  ((HUGS)).  It's so hard to hear pregnancy announcements.  I'm so glad your cousin reached out to you personally.  I can't tell you how many times I've been hurt over the past year from friends and family who were too afraid to tell me and I found out via FB.

Waves hi to everyone from Maui!
I may never return ;) one more day with all my family here and then it's just me and hubs vagabonding around the place. My hubs is currently very annoyed i am on my phone so off I go.

Qotw- my least favorite job was working as a personal assistant for an actor. Job was ok, pay was ok, actor was great, his wife was one of the most awful people I have ever met. Controlling, manipulative, emotionally abusive, dishonest etc. Etc. I told him I was leaving and he offered me double pay to stay. Literally nothing could have made me stay on.

    1) SO jealous of you!!! Enjoy your trip! 2) Was the actor someone famous?! I'm dying to know!!

  • @Frenchteachermama - I think that's the plan I'm probably about to go with. The only thing about OPK's is that I'm 90% sure my PCOS has progressed since coming off BC in May and I get peak fertility readings every few days on CBAD OPK's. So not much help there either!
