multiple losses after c section

I'm Rachel, I'm 24 years old. I have followed the bump for a long time and have finally decided to crawl out of my comfort zone and ask for advice/thoughts. I love how supportive this community is and hope to return that support for others. Here's my story:
I have a beautiful 2 1/2 year old daughter. I am thankful for her every day. She was born in 2012 via csection. Since her first birthday, June 2013, my husband and I have been actively ttc. We had a miscarriage in October 2013, which left me bleeding until the new year, this was our first experience with this type of loss. Then in February I had an ectopic pregnancy, which was treated with 2 doses of methotrexate. Then in July I experienced a chemical pregnancy. So we obviously have no problem getting pregnant, I just have a problem staying that way. I've been doing a lot of reading about c sections leading to later implantation issues, and I really don't want to jump to conclusions. If any one has any words of advice or prior experience similar to mine I think it would really put my mind at ease. Thanks for taking the time to read this loooong post, I look forward to reading what you have to say.

I'm sorry for your losses. Welcome to the board- I hope you find comfort and support here. I have had three consecutive losses myself, but no advice on the c section as I have no LC. You may find more advice in relation to that on the trying to conceive a sibling board.

  • I should mention I am clueless on lingo! I'll try and Google what I can to understand! Please be patient with me! :-)
  • The READ THIS BEFORE POSTING thread has a lot of helpful important info, including a link about lingo. I suggest taking some time to read through it.
  • I am very sorry for your losses. It is a hard road to travel for all of us. Could you please edit your title to give a warning about the mention of your daughter? Some women here find it hard to come across a living child (LC) reference without a warning (as many here have no living children).

Have you sought testing since you have experienced multiple losses? After 3 I think most doctors will run various labs. Welcome to the board.

  • Thank you, my obgyn has told us that she doesn't think testing is necessary yet and wants to see how things go, which seems kind of counter productive to me.
  • Have moved to the ttc a sibling board I'm sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings. It was never my intention, just new here and I guess didn't understand the different boards. Best of luck to you all and thank you for your responses and support.
  • I'm sorry for your losses. You are welcome to stay we have many members that are on TTCAS as well as here.

Even if you choose to leave can you please alter your title to say **LC mentioned** your thread doesn't go away just because you've left and I'd hate those having a hard day to find this without a warning. Thank you for understanding.
  • I am sorry for your losses.
