Clogged duct or ductal thrush?

Hi ladies. Hoping someone with experience can help. My LO is almost 8 weeks and the past two days I have had pain in my right breast. It's the worst when he first starts eating, a painful tugging all the way under my armpit almost. It fades as he eats, but also randomly will hurt when he is not eating.

No redness or lump that I can feel. No symptoms of thrush on my nipple or in LOs mouth. Any words of wisdom? Thanks in advance!!

I would cup my hand at the base of your ribs, and slowly work your hand forward as LO is nursing on that side. It will help clear a clogged duct. You can also apply a warm washcloth too. I would think you'd have symptoms of thrush on your nipples first before it moved to your ducts, so I wouldn't think it was thrush. But, I've only had nipple thrush and no experience with it in the ducts.
