Re: *~September Sapphires Check-In~* (Sept. 17)

  • Hi Ladies. Hope you all are having a nice week. Hugs all around. Thank you for the check-in, @MyFirstRaspberry.

The last few days have been a bit surreal/overwhelming, however readjustment seems to be going okay. Our cat did great on the flights. (Is it weird to be proud of my cat?) She's probably settling in the quickest. It's a little strange to be back in my old bedroom at my parent's house, but I'm happy to get to so easily spend time with the family.

On the TTC front, since AF is technically late I thought it prudent to take a HPT. Unfortunately, it was a BFN. Perhaps my cycle has not gotten back on track after all. I'm finding it more and more difficult to stave off frustration. I'm sure you all understand. Take care, everyone.

QOTW: Right now I'm not quite sure what day it is, but usually I like Wednesdays. (Probably the calmest day in my old office.) Once upon a time, Mondays were actually my favorite--it was the only day my husband and I had off together.

    @eliida

Hey Lady!  I am so glad to hear your kitty managed the flight successfully. I can totally relate. MH and I moved back to the US from England and our doggy was on a different flight than us. It was stressful for me as a dog momma!   Enjoy the family time as well. Nothing wrong with enjoying some time being spoiled by your family in your old childhood home.

Sorry AF is being late to the show. It is very possible that the stress of the move could have messed with your cycle. I hope you get a clear sign soon to figure out what is going on.

I'm impressed you enjoy Wednesday. I'm usually starting to feel beat down by work by that point. You go Gurl!

  • HI ladies. I hope everyone is doing well this week. Sending extra ((hugs)) to the ladies with EDD this week. I have all of you on my mind.

AFM, I finished up my first round of femara this past weekend. Femara wasn't too bad. At times I got a little emotional but I controlled it. Bright and early tomorrow AM I have a monitoring appt. This is my first Femara cycle so I don't have a clue what to expect with regard to my response. I am excited, maybe a little scared, for the next step which is Trigger than IUI.

QOTW: What is your favorite day of the week?
Saturday. I really enjoy sleeping in and not having a set agenda for the day.

  • @MyFirstRaspberry Glad to hear that you are managing the Femara alright. GL tomorrow, I'll be thinking of you.

That must have been very stressful to have the dog on a different flight than you. It's great your pup was able to come home with you. So worth it.

As far as Wednesdays go, about half my office travels mid-week so on Wednesdays I rarely have meetings. And I hate meetings. :)
  • Hey ladies!

Sorry I missed you last week--I was having one of those weeks. :)  Now things have settled down a bit and I'm back! :)

I was disappointed to find AF here on Tuesday, which means my 3rd cycle of Femara led to a BFN. I was (stupidly?) over-hopeful because I got pregnant on the 3rd cycle of Clomid that I tried in a row both of the previous times that got pregnant, but neither of those were successful pregnancies, so maybe it wasn't a good thing.  The doctor decided that with this cycle, to increase the dosage of Femara to hopefully make more follicles, and then after trigger, doing an IUI, which is totally new for me. I'm hoping that this might be what we need!

I am also in the middle of my first week doing the Insulin Resistance diet, which is pretty easy and much less restrictive than the Jorge Cruise 100, which is what I had been doing.  We'll see how I do when I get on the scale this week! :)

I hope all is well for everyone! I'm looking forward to hearing what's happening for all of you!

QOTW: Friday, by far.  I love the feeling of having two days of total freedom from work and other responsibilities where we can just relax!

@myfirstraspberry:  Glad Femara is going well!  Sounds like we are headed for the same protocol--I'm hoping it'll be successful for both of us! FX!
@eliida: Sorry AF is taking her sweet time--hopefully she gets here ASAP!  Also, glad the cat is OK...furbabies need safe travel, too! :)

@eliida I'm glad to hear that your move back is going pretty smoothly. Travel can be so hard on kitties. I hope your body gets its act together soon.

@MyFirstRaspberry Eeek, you're cycling!!! How exciting! I'm glad to hear the Femara hasn't been too hard on you. I hope monitoring went well this morning.

@superwife425 I'm so sorry about the BFN. FX that the tweaks to your protocol & adding IUI will get you there.

Sorry I've been MIA for a couple weeks. I feel like an asshole for it. With the EDD coming up I was feeling really overwhelmed, but that's not a good excuse, we're all in that boat. We got through that on Tuesday & I'm feeling a lot better over all. We went to the butterfly garden here & it was an amazing experience.

My break cycle was a BFN, not surprising. I'm going in tomorrow morning for a cd3 scan & some bloodwork. I should be starting a round of Clomid if all looks good tomorrow. I responded well to that in December, so hopefully that's still the case.

Special hugs to the rest of the ladies with EDDs this week. Take good care of yourselves & your SOs. Lots of love to everyone this month.

QOTW: It changes, but usually if MH is on the road, Thursday is my favorite day of the week. That's normally the day he flies home.

Me: IR-PCOS, elevated DHEAs, low progesterone, weak ovulation  DH: low volume, low T
SHG 5/10/13: both tubes blocked; HSG 6/28 = Left tube cleared! Right blocked.

Lap & hysteroscopy scheduled for 10/31, right tube cleared, no endo found! ...Happy Halloween!
Cycle 14: Clomid (50)+ IUI = BFP! EDD 9/16/14~ Rowan Elizabeth born sleeping at 17w4d on 4/12/14 due to IC.
~There is no foot too small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world~
    New RE June 2014. RPL b/w - negative. SIS looking for uterine/cervical abnormalities & Asherman's 6/10/14 - ALL CLEAR!

Cycle 20: Clomid (50)+ IUI = BFP EDD 6/20, transvaginal cerclage 12/19, Carson Quinn born sleeping at 16w3d on 1/6/15 due to IC

  • Hey ladies! I am so sorry that I haven't been able to respond to the check-ins. I had an incident where I dropped my phone in the toilet...so no mobile TB for me, and I finally got internet in the new house!! I have been crazy busy with trying to find furniture and trying to get everything and everyone settled in. I am loving having so much space, and I can't even begin to describe how nice it has been to have a backyard that is fenced in for the dogs!  I still haven't heard back about the job, so I am just trying to apply for new things. I put my application in to be a substitute teacher at a couple of local schools, so we will see if anything comes from that. I am currently in my 2ww in my 4th cycle post loss, and I'm still doing the NTNP method. I have still been using my OPKs, but that's really about it. I am trying to be more relaxed because everything has been stressful enough with the EDD coming up.

@eliida I am glad your move back is going well! I hope that your body irons itself out soon!

@MyFirstRaspberry So exciting! I hope that the monitoring went well!

@superwife425 sorry to hear about the BFN. I hope the new diet goes well. I always get frustrated when starting a new plan because MH only has like 5 meals that he likes, so cooking is always a challenge!

@beckynsean11 FX for you in starting back on Clomid! I am glad that you are feeling okay. The butterfly garden sounds like a nice outing.

Sending love and ((hugs)) to everyone. I hope everyone continues to take care of yourselves this month. I have been thinking about all of you even though I haven't been able to post much!
QOTW: My favorite day is Saturday because I get to sleep in and not feel guilty about asking DH to take the dogs out so early! Also, we have been using Saturdays as days to explore our new neighborhood, which has been wonderful. This Saturday I am getting my library card!

I am glad to hear the new diet isn't as bad as you expected. Do you have a fav new healthy snack??

@beckynsean11 Gurl, don't beat yourself up for not checking in here. Its cool. We all have those weeks. I had not forgotten about you and may or may not have stalked you just to make sure you were ok : )   I am really glad you had an opportunity to visit the butterfly garden. That sounds like an amazing experience.

I hope clomid treats you well. Did you have any side effects from Clomid back in December?

Also, thanks for the well wishes. It is kinda crazy to finally be cycling. It has really helped me find a tiny amount of hope when I was steadly sinking into a dark hole.

  • Hi ladies! Life has again been insane for me on many fronts this week. I do have some positive news to report though- my bloodwork done after my last loss is all normally, and my levels dropped form 490 last week to 94 today! It seems like my body just took awhile to get going, but I've gone from 1700 to 94 in three weeks, so it finally (prying hard for this) seems to be doing its thing. It's been 50 days since my miscarriage, and I'd love to see AF by the end of the month.

    BFP #3 07.18.2014, MC 07.31.2014 5w6d

DX: RPL due to submucosal uterine fibroid. Hysteroscopy 12/16. All clear!

    @LauraO11

Such wonderful news that your levels are dropping naturally!!  Sounds like no more concern of a molar or retained tissue. That's great news!  I hope your levels continue to drop like a rock!

  • @LauraO11 That's fantastic news!

@ashlee113085 So glad to hear that's you're getting settled into your new home. GL on the job front. Hope your TWW is going quickly. FX!

@beckynsean11 I think we can all appreciate feeling overwhelmed. No apologies necessary. The butterfly garden sound magical.

@superwife425 I'm sorry for AF. I was way overly-hopeful this month, too. ((hugs))
  • And AF started this morning. I'm pleasantly surprised- since I am pretty close to positive I still have hcg in my system (it was 94 on Thursday). I know you can have some in your system, but it would seem like a lot for AF to start?

Yay for AF!  I would still continue to monitor your HCG even after AF. It is possible to ovulate with HCG in your system so I would assume it is possible to get AF as well. Sounds like you are well on your way to 0!

  • Soo....I had a little bit of a melt down on Friday. It's so frustrating because there is nobody who really understands. In one day I got an invitation to a baby shower for some of DH's friends that I can only assume DH didn't tell me were expecting due to my sensitivity and a gender reveal party for my SIL. Friday night I ended up skipping out on all of my plans for the weekend and crying, asking questions like when will it be my turn? Will it ever be my turn? DH is still very optimistic, but I feel like I am losing that optimism and positivity. I tried to talk to a friend who has been very supportive and comforting since we found out about the loss, but then she told me that she just found out she was pg. I hope a time comes when I can feel honestly 100% happy when people tell me they are expecting, and not feel happy laced with sadness for myself. Sorry to vent, but I know that you ladies understand with our EDDs coming up or having just passed.
  • @ashlee113085 Vent away. (((HUGS)))

((hugs))  I wish I could tell you when everything will be all better.  To be honest, I ask myself the same exact questions on bad days. It is really tough. Be gentle with yourself, you are doing the best you can.

FWIW, I no longer attend any baby showers.

  • @ashlee113085:  I hear you.  Do the best you can, and you do NOT have to go to anything you don't want to, nor do you have to give an excuse. It's hard and sometimes confusing to others, but you have to take care of yourself.
  • Thank you @eliida, @myfirstraspberry, and @superwife425. Sometimes I need reassurance that what I'm feeling is okay.
