Addison Is 31 weeks adjusted now! She is off the vent & cpap... she is now on nasal cannula with vapotherm! I also got to start doing kangaroo with her and she no longer is getting TPN. She does have a dislocated hip, but otherwise is doing very very well considering!

Way to go Addison! Glad you are getting to start to hold her too!
Addison (28 Weeker):
*Since Addison was having some issues with the 3 hour feeds, they've
decided to continue to feed her every three hours, but to put it on a
pump so that she receives it over the course of 1 hour. Hopefully this
will help her tolerate it better. They will keep her like this for 2-3
days & if all goes well, they will drop it to 30 min, then back to
true bolus feeds.
*She was supposed to have a vision test this week but that has been pushed to next week.
*At 6 weeks, Addison will have another head ultrasound. They did not
see any brain bleeds when they screened her at 10 days but it is
hospital protocol to do another screen at 6 weeks.
*Since she is still having a few episodes where she forgets to
breathe & her heart-rate drops, they are going to keep her oxygen the
same. She is still on high flow oxygen cannula at about 40%. They won't
switch her to low flow oxygen until she stops having those episodes.
*I asked if they would be doing any more weekly blood tests &
the dr said unless a physical exam or a change in her vitals show that
it may be necessary, she does not plan on drawing any more blood.
*She did not gain any weight last night so she is still at 2lbs 12oz
but I'm hoping if she continues to tolerate the feeds given over an
hour, she'll have a gain today or tomorrow. Although I am glad she is
not losing.
*One last thing, I met with a pediatrician yesterday & I really
liked her. She seems to have quite a bit of experience with preemies and
was very knowledgeable in everything I talked to her about concerning
Addison. I think we have found Addison's doctor for when she comes home.
Scratch that off the to-do list.
She wears clothes now and does have a dislocated hip. But otherwise, overall, our little miracle is doing well considering!
@wicked22...He is oh so handsome!! Look at that hair!! So glad he is doing well. I can't wait to see more positive updates from you!!
@LibbyG103...thank you for the update on Addison!! It sounds like the doctors have a great plan for her and I can't wait to read more of her continued improvement in the weeks to come. Yay for finding her pediatrician too!!
Love our precious and adorable super babies. @LibbyG103 - Addison is so cute and I can already tell @wicked22's Joseph is going to be one handsome boy.

Awesome updates!!!! Continuing to send t&p to all these sweet babies and mamas!!! The nicu can be stressful, but focus on all the positive progress! Love seeing those adorable pictures, too!
Addison is 1 Month old!! And she is finally back on the right track!
Yesterday was my first day back at work since June 6th and I had a good day, but man, I was wiped out when I got home. But Addison had a good day on Wednesday!!She only had a small bit of residual so they increased her feeds again. She
was also doing so well on the high flow canula that they put her on the
low flow oxygen to see how well she could tolerate it.When
I called in the afternoon, she was tolerating both the increase in
feeds & the lower flow oxygen very well and was resting comfortably! And as of last night, she weighed 3 lbs 6 oz.
This morning, I called to see how her night went & she had moved!!I started getting nervous until the nurse explained that it was a good thing. Because
Addison was tolerating the low flow oxygen, she moved from Pod 10,
which is considered Level III NICU to Pod 1, which is considered Level
II.It’s the next step on her way to the Special Care nursery.I could not wait to get to the hospital this morning to see where her new “home” was. Both Daddy and I got to hold her today. She is just the sweetest thing ever!!Here’s our most recent family picture.
