August Mommas

This check-in is for mommas who lost a baby due in the month of August (any year), and any late loss mommas who gave birth and lost their precious angel in August.

New to the check in: Welcome. I'm so sorry you find yourself here but hope you find the love and support you need from the amazing women on TTCAL. Tell us a bit about yourself, where you are in the TTCAL process, and don't forget to include your August EDD or birth date.

For everyone: How are you lovely ladies doing this week? Where are you in the TTCAL process this week? Any appointments coming up?

Hi, @dawnstar898 Thank you for taking over the check-in. How are you today/this week?

I have an appointment with my OB/Gyn this Wednesday. The weird spotting post-O but well before AF is what gave me the kick in the pants to make the call, and I had hoped that the nurse would have told me to just wait it out a couple more months, but she made an appointment for me, so here we are. I'm not sure what good it would do for this cycle (currently post-O by some days, but FF is being funny and my temps are misbehaving, so who knows how many), but I'm going in with my listening ears on...

Hi @NoeliaV Glad you made the next step to make an appointment.  That may be my next step soon, going on 7 cycles with no luck and I'm 34 soooo maybe more tests are in order? Can't hurt to ask I guess.  FX for you for this cycle either way!  I hope your appointment goes well tomorrow, give me an update when you can

The appointment went fine. The nurse had me pee in a cup, even though I said that it wouldn't show anything being 6dpo :P The OB/Gyn... well, this was my first time meeting her (larger practice, and I typically visit with the MW), and she was nice. She outlined the areas that they look into when there is trouble TTC (not Infertility, she said, we're a long way from Infertility [I capitalize that because it is exactly how she said it, with a big "I"]), and said that if we're not successful this cycle, then they'll do some CD3 bloodwork and an U/S to look for polyps.

The main things she said was that a) it's likely just not being very lucky and b) that it's likely that my stress levels aren't helping.

She didn't look at my charts at all, and it felt like she was a little dismissive of continual spotting starting 8dpo (she said that it was likely stress-related).

And, if we do get a positive test this cycle, then I'm to call the "minute you get a positive" and we'll do bloodwork and possibly progesterone supplements.

So it sort of sounds like she still doesn't think there's anything major wrong, which is hopeful I suppose.  My doc seems to have the same attitude, but I'm sure at this point if I wanted them to they could run some tests.  We'll see.  Well FX for you this cycle   Me?  I'm just HIO and waiting to O!  The usual

@dawnstar898 and the other August mommas!  Thanks for the check-in and for taking over for mara...hope she stays over there happy and healthy! 

AFM: I'm doing pretty well and uneventful, which is a good thing.  AF came over the weekend and I'm thankful it did because now I can start tracking again to see if my cycles will get back on schedule.  Usually post DnC took about 60 days and this time it was only 40 days.  After maybe 2 cycles I'm going to call for an appointment with a new recommended RE because I did not have a great experience with my last one.  Emotionally, I'm dealing with friends who are due from now until mid-October, so I'm just cautiously watching FB knowing that this will be popping up.

Pumpkin....I'm not a huge pumpkin taste lover other than pumpkin pie, but Bath and Body Works fall scents are MY FAVORITE THINGS EVER! I will purchase moderately-to-overpriced soaps and bodywash all day long!

Hi @LiaMadi1! Glad AF arrived in a more timely fashion.  I really feel you with the whole friends and Facebook thing (((hugs))) 
I've never checked out any of the Bath and Body works Fall scents.  I'll have to do that!

Yes, I agree that she doesn't think anything major is wrong, thank goodness. Who wants to borrow trouble?? Not me. :P
She mainly pointed to stress (which, lololololololol), and suggested fancy-pants OPKs (the clearblue ones) (she didn't like my cheapies from amazon).
