Nothing major, but my throat irritation from the plaster dust and crap in the air at my mil's kitchen renovation has turned into something that is kicking my ass.

First of all, I want to thank all of you that encouraged me not to go to my cousin's baby shower today.  All it took was seeing one picture from the shower to send me into a downward spiral.  I went from feeling hopeful about this cycle to ugly crying all by one picture.  I feel good about our timing this cycle.  My OPKs are getting darker (still not what I would call a positive, but def. darker than yesterday) so DH and I HIO before he had to go to work.  (he's working nights this weekend, so timing is hard but he's committed to HIO when we can). 

I'm thankful I didn't go to the shower for more than one reason - I know now I really couldn't handle it AND DH and I would have missed out on our BDing this afternoon.  

And I'm rambling.  I just hate that I have this reminder of where I SHOULD be vs. where I actually am today.  But you ladies are awesome and made me feel good about my decision.  

Oh and my mom and sister and I went in to get her an Amazon gift card. So now I don't have to walk down any baby aisles or do anything myself.  All I have to do is write my mom a check since she's the one that bought it.

I know I don't come here much but I needed to vent... I've had 3 mc in 2013 and we have not had any successful attempts this year... needless to say an ex co-work came by work today to visit and she asked me about ttc. She knows about the mc's from last year and that we are still trying.

 When I told her we have not been successful this year she started talking about how some people are just not meant to be parents and that since cancer runs in my family (my mom,aunt & sister) it's better off that I don't spread the cancer disease to kids because they are likely to get it and die and that would be worse than just not having a kid.

At the end I was speechless and she said well no offense or anything.   I'm I wrong to be completely angry about this? I don't normally get mad this easily but I feel like this is out of line.   :-( to make it worse AF came today shortly after this conversation... i ended up almost crying in the bathroom ...

@bissea83- you are a much better person than I am.  I would of have thrown a bitch fit right there with her.  That is not ok to ever say!!  I am really sorry that you have to deal with that.

@bissea83 I'm surprised she didn't get knocked out!  That is incredibly rude and insensitive, not to mention wrong, of her to say.

TP to my AF. Actually, she is doing what I want her to if she had to show; I think I'm back to a 28 day cycle. The TP part is where she didn't show after CD26 and I had super sore boobs and 24 hours of semi-false hope where I thought "maybe I just tested too early." Not so much, big temp drop this morning and spotting. Oh well, maybe next month.

@Amybunny30‌, I am so sorry your DH is pulling such nonsense! Sounds like he and my DH are using the same playbook. Only for me, it is cats, not dogs. When playfully expressing the desire to be intimate again after the mmc, what I got was "well, if you didn't always have cats on you..." Like we couldn't close them out of the bedroom if he ever wanted alone time...! Yup. Punch in the gut feeling, alright. What is left to say after a thoughtless comment like that? At least the cats want to cuddle. I know this whole thing is hard on significant others, too, but... Grrrrr.... Men!!

Can I tp mh? He went to a baseball game w his friends today so I was going to pick him up at the train. I asked him to not call 5 min from the station like he normally does. What happens? His friend gave him a lift home, which is great. But could he have called and told me I didn't need to pick him up so I could I don't know, start dinner! Am I being unreasonable? I just think it's inconsiderate to not let me know

@CreechMommy I'm glad you didn't go to the shower this weekend but I'm sorry the picture was so upsetting. I had to be at my cousin's shower this summer, she was due 3 months b4 I was. It was during our family beach week so I was trapped. Even though I was armed with wine and Xanax it still sucked and I walked out of the room twice to get myself together. Felt like a lot of eyes were on me too, hate that shit. It's best for us to avoid that kind of thing all together if we can, we see enough on a daily basis. Just in case you felt bad about not going, don't!!!

This!!  I was so worried about that.  I've already gotten the "we hesitated telling you.." (when someone announces pg) more than enough.  My mom called to tell me everyone was asking about me.  I ignored it and simply replied "how was it - I bet it was nice" and she went on to talk about the food and didn't revisit it.
