Sooo...something curious happened today and it made me wonder. My girl is now just over 9 months and it has been a couple of weeks since I stopped pumping. The past week she's been very curious about my boobs. She pulls down my shirt and pokes at them, grabs my nipple, just curious examination. Today she actually opened her mouth and stuck her tongue on my nipple, not to try to nurse, she really has no idea about nursing since we had to pump for so long, she's just exploring the same way she will stick a toy in her mouth. Anyway, she then grabbed my nipple and a drop of milk came out. I was very surprised so I squeezed myself and I couldn't believe how easily milk came out. I thought after a couple of weeks I would be pretty dried up, especially since my reason for weaning was low supply. Does your body continue to produce milk for a long time after you've weaned? Or is this just what's left in there that hasn't dried up yet since it hasn't been expressed?
