Knowing someone on Cops

I'm watching Spike TV & realized one of the kids getting arrested for possession is a dude I knew in college. Yikes!

Have you ever known anyone who got thrown in the slammer?

I actually sent someone to court abd jail for embezzlement at the small non-profit daycare we used to work at. She still lives in this small town I still live in abd I see her all the time. Super awkward! She stole a crap ton of money abd I discovered it while going through paperwork after she quit. Had to meet with private detectives and be interrogated and everything.

And some guy from my hometown was on Cops when I was in hs for a police chase or something. Exciting stuff!

My great uncle (by marriage) went to jail for aDUI accident where a father and son were killed. I was pretty young, but remember when it hit the papers.

My cousin went to jail for hit and run, DUI, driving w/o insurance and like a million other charges.

BIL was in jail for drugs, DUI, and should have went for forging FIL's name to cash out his college $ but they didn't press charges.

I knew someone that was on Cops - I keep missing the episode so not sure what the charge was, but he got out of it eventually. He is now a law abiding member of society.

One of the guys I went to HS with was arrested for molesting one of his students. My dad has never served time but he's been in the drunk tank a lot.

If I ever find myself in jail, I hope Alex Vause is there.

DHs friend has been to jail a few times. And I think he told me when he was younger his cousin's half brother was on America's Most Wanted or something for shooting abd killing someone. Something like that.

My friend from Jr and High school was also maid of honor at my wedding was arrested WHILE I WAS WITH HER! I had just moved to Vegas and she was driving me to get meds for my dog because my car was still in San Diego. Well we pulled into parking lot and a mini van came at us head on and a car blocked us from behind. I thought we were being car jacked as guys with guns came toward us. I saw badges and they were yelling "police", they got my friend out and I was following instructions to get out but seat belt got caught on my boobs. The officer that got my friend out put his gun in my face and yelled at me. DH thought about suing them. She got arrested for stealing cars, breaking into homes including a judges and other things. She is still there.

I didn't know she was doing any of that stuff. I knew she smoked pot and had sold a little here and there. She was dating this girl she thought she loved and she convinced her to do some of the things @robynloureed‌ .
@Encchanted‌ I cried lots and was shaking so bad. The cop felt kinda of bad, not the asshole that put gun in my face. As it was all done and they were letting me go the nice cop ask if I was ok. I said "No, I had a gun in my face and I just moved into this neighborhood. The neighbors are going to think I am a criminal. I am horrified. " The cop laughed at me.

My coworker went to jail for a year. He is a really good kid and just got mixed up with the wrong crowd. He and his friends robbed a drug dealer and he was arrested for armed robbery. I felt really bad for him when he went to jail. He is my boss's nephew so I still work with him. He spent 6 months in a jail, then went to a low security facility and the description reminds me of orange is the new black. Then they said if he got a job, they would let him out and he could live in a half way house and wear an ankle bracelet so my boss hired him back. His CO used to come to the office to check up on him. This all happened 5 years ago and he just got off probation.

My IL's recently had my BIL sectioned due to drugs. He has been on drugs for 15 years. Rehab does not help and they recently found out he was doing heroin. He has been on methadone for years and all that does is help his habit. DH distanced himself from his brother because he was always high and we did not want to be around it. He is in a rehab that is like a jail because he is locked up. My IL's had to go to court to get him in. He was supposed to be in for 30 days, but because he is still denying he has a problem, they are keeping him longer.

One night a bunch of us were drunk and got into a minivan cab, and the driver pretended he was a cash cab. It was awesome. Until we realized we weren't actually going to get any money and he drove us to IL instead of taking us home  :-/

Well besides our old tenant and his heroin and prostitution fun in our TH, my first 'boyfriend' (3rd grade) is currently serving life in prison for murdering a mentally challenged man, stuffing him under a hotel bed, and then proceeding to watch movies laying on that bed for 2 days. The whole thing was really awful and horrible.

I love cash cab. I know my one uncle was in jail for a bit when he was really young. Probably something dumb with alcohol.

A guy I cheered with in college killed his girlfriend and the mother of his two kids that we didn't even know he had. He stuck her in a suitcase and hid it. It was the sketchiest situation ever. He seemed like a nice enough guy. I guess you just never know? But, to answer the question, I don't think I've ever known anyone on cops but America's Most Wanted was in my home town 10 or so years ago for some type of robbery thing.

Whoa! What a question!
I had an ex that had been in prison. I didn't know it until we had been dating for a few months. He is the worst person I think I have ever known.
He went back to jail for a short time d/t me. No idea if he is even still alive. I would hope not for the sake of humanity.
Another ex went to jail for a short time too...multiple charges one included me.
Surprisingly my family hasn't had anyone in jail...that I am aware of.

I was locked up in a holding cell for about an hour when I was 15 and I skipped school with 2 friends, went into Boston and shoplifted from Urban Outfitters!!  It sucked and I never ever shoplifted again after that.

Ohhh, also DH was in jail for maybe a week?  He was transporting marijuana and got caught in Texas of all places.  Luckily he had a great lawyer but he still has a felony on his record which kind of limits his employment opportunities to staying self-employed (in construction, landscaping and real estate - LEGIT I PROMISE)!
