I took the home test and hid the test behind the shower curtain. My husband and I looked at it together at the same time - it was wonderful to find out together! But, if you already took the test, one cute idea I used to tell the rest of our family was that I bought a pair of adorable baby socks and said - hey guys, I bought something new today and pulled them out. Everyone freaked!

Get a shirt for the little one and have it say...OOPPPS they did it again!! I am going to be a big bro/sis! LOL!
For our 2nd I made a small scrap book and at the very end put a pic of the 3 of us and photoshopped in a baby in my arms. And said something like surprise...We are going to be a family of 4! I did this after picking him up at the airport from an overseas trip...boy, not what he was expecting!
I agree with u, but I just realzed that my cycle was late and took the test just to see why and it came up positive...But my husband wasn't home at the time, so I just wanted to tell him in a special way and wanted to do it tomorrow...
I found out at 3:30am and didn't want to wake DH up. We had just put up the Christmas decorations so I hung up a new stocking that said "baby" on it and put the 2 HPT inside. When DH got home I told him to look at the mantle. It took him a little while to figure it out, but it was really cute.
DH was away on business when I found out. I bought a shirt for our dog that said "My mommy is pregnant and all I got was this t-shirt." When we got home from the airport, he let the dog out of his kennel and voila! He loved it.
I, on the other hand did it alone instead because DH was at work. He texted me while I was at work later that day and asked what the result was - he couldn't wait to find out in person, so he ended up learning I got a BFP over text message!
Re: Spilling it...
I'm not sure how people can be creative with their husbands. I just ran in the bedroom screaming with my pee stick....
To me, it's something that you do together....not the same as telling family and friends you're pregnant, but maybe it's just me.

I think it's romantic to do it together.
