Preschool Fail

We sent in the application for DD to go to the early education center at DH's work.  He works at a major university and the school is very good- has lots of accreditations and things and there is a 12 month+ wait list.  So we finally get back the email that they received the application and they said this:

We received your application, but there was some conflicting information I wanted to clarify. You listed Lydia's date of birth as 10/7/12 but her current age as 1. Which of these is correct?

uh...both are correct? DH emailed her back and said  that in a nice way.  I jokingly said to DH "are you sure we want to send her there, they can't do basic math!" I bet that woman feels pretty silly right now,

Oh geez. My own mother did the same thing the other day. On Emma's amazon gift list it says her age is 1. My mom called and said I need to change it, I told her it will change automatically on her birthday duh! She is still 1!
