ultrasound - yikes!

As you guys know I've been dealing with spotting and light bleeding for the last week. After the second episode, my RE switched me from progesterone suppositories to PIO. I was supposed to have an ultrasound tomorrow at 6w2d but I woke up early this morning to several bright red gushes so we decided to move up the ultrasound one day. 

The first ultrasound a week ago showed one gestational sac and one yolk sac. A singleton pregnancy is what we were aiming for because of my late loss of twins a few years ago. I was pretty incredulous, though, because my hCG level at 19dp3dt was 10,762, which is off-the-wall high for a singleton, especially knowing our dates are precise.

Anyhow, today we saw 2 heartbeats (!) and a sizeable SCH around baby A's sac. I am very happy and very terrified. Just hoping and praying for the best and that I'll be able to carry this pregnancy long enough to take home 2 healthy babies. 
IUIs #1-3 (1x unmedicated, 2x Clomid) = 2 BFNs, 1 m/c at 7w3d
IUIs #4-6 (injects) = 3 BFNs
IVF #1 = BFN
FET #1 = BFN
FET #2 = BFN
IVF #2 = BFP, b/g twins lost at 20w due to partial abruption/PPROM
IVF #3 = c/p 5w2d
Long-shot Clomid/Prednisone cycle before next IVF = BFP, our beautiful, healthy girl born 6/26/13!

    Mazel Tov!! I hope the SCH clears up fast and you have a safe and long pregnancy! My first LO had an SCH surrounding the sac until 16 weeks then it finally went away slowly and she is now almost a yr! Good luck

    I'll be praying for you and your little ones.  Such exciting news!  Take a little time to just enjoy it and let it sink in before you let the worry take over too much.  I know, easier said than done.

    Wow! You must have SO much going through your head at this point. I'm so happy that the outcome from the bleeding episodes is a good one. Keep us posted as you settle in to the idea of twins.

    Wow- congratulations. That's a lot to take in :). I will keep thinking positive thoughts that everything stays on track for both of your babies.

    Me 38 MH 41 - TTC since June 2010 - dx with Severe MFI. Straight to IVF with ICSI. IVF #1 - ER 06/13/12 - 9 Eggs Retrieved - 4 ICSI'd - only 2 fert. 06/15/12 - 2DT - 3 cell & 6 cell with fragmentation. Beta 06/29/12 - IVF #1 = BFN. 07/20/12 - WTF Appt -Told by our RE to quit IVF. Second Opinion from RE is good. IVF#2 - November 2012. Estradiol Pills Started 11/6. Stims start 11/16. ER 11/26 - 7 eggs retrieved - all mature. 4 fertilized with ICSI. ET 11/29 Transferred 3 embryos. Beta is 12/10. 1st Beta 81 2nd Beta 160 and 3rd beta 360!!! First U/S 12/21/12 - We saw one beautiful gest. sac. 2nd U/S is 01/04/2013 - H/B 183 02/05/13 - NT Scan - everything looks good and IT'S A BOY!  Aiden was born 08/20/2013.

    IVF #2 is in progress.  ER was 05/12/14 - 11 eggs retrieved, 8 fertilized with ICSI.  ET was 05/15/14 - we transferred 3 embryos as we did on the cycle my son was conceived.  We were able to freeze 3 embryos. Beta is scheduled for 05/26/14.  1st beta - 111.  2nd beta - 159 didn't double :( 3rd beta Friday 5/30) - not a lot of hope left. Beta # 3 is 247 - probably ectopic.  Beta # 4 is 813 - possibly vanishing multiple sydrome?  06/05/14 - 5w4days - first U/S - we see a gestational sac and yolk - still have hope!  06/17/14 - 7w1day - U/S and saw and heard the heartbeat - Finally!  06/27/14 - 8w4days - Baby and heartbeat look and sound great :)  EDD 02/01/14 and It's a boy!

    Multiple ectopics, 2 failed IVF's
    IVF #1: Did not get to ET, embies all failed PGD (major chromosomal defects)
    IVF #2: We have 2 chromosomally perfect embies as a result of PGD (Boy/Girl) 1 failed the thaw (Girl) Transferred 1, yet ended as a c/p
    Thought it was the end of our TTC Journey 6/20/2012
    SHOCK BFP 9/28/2012: IT'S A BOY! and everything is normal !!!!!!

    Little A born 38w 2d on 05/23/13 and is a true miracle for this IF Vet!

    Married: 5/09 ~ TTC Since: 10/10 ~ PCOS ~ Progesterone from 10/10 - 2/11 ~ HSG on 3/18 - Clear ~ Started Metformin 1000mg & Clomid 50mg 2/11 ~ Metformin upped to 1500mg 4/6 ~ 6/7 Now going to SG and put on Clomid, Ovidrel, Gonal F, Prometrium, Estrace ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP!!!!!! March 6th our little man was born. 

    6/17/13 - Ovidrel, Follistim, Prometrium ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP! March 17th our St. Pattys day baby arrived

    10/29/17 - Started process for IVF, got pregnant & miscarried a 2nd time since summer. 2/22 started stims - Menopur, Gonal F, Cetrotide - retrieval 3/6 - , PIO, estrace 3xday - FET 4/18 = Beta 1: 616; Beta 2: 1342 = BFP

    First, let me say congratulations :-) Second, I know you must be terrified and I am sorry. FWIW, I had heavy, bright red bleeding with my twins at 12 weeks and everything was fine (the source of the bleeding was never determined). I hope the SCH around Baby A resolves itself without issue and you have a happy and healthy pregnancy.     +HPT 9/17! Beta #1 (9/25) = 1,000 Beta #2 (9/27) = 1,860 U/S #1 (10/11)...TWINS!

    1/8/13 - It's a..boy and a girl!!   

     

    S&B born via induction 5.8.13
