Good morning ladies!
I have no idea why I'm up so early on a Saturday, but I'm so tired today! The neighbors were up until 5 partying outside really loudly!
Any exciting plans for you today?
I think DH and I are going to the aquarium today and just gonna hang out by the river....some kind of wine tasting thing going on.

    Have fun wine tasting!  

    We are going to help set up for a Journey concert near our house.  That is right Journey.  Thanks to my older sister and her friends playing their greatest hist EVERY SINGLE DAY in high school, every song of their's is burned into my brain and I cannot help but sing along when I hear one!  This entertains my husband so when he saw they were in town he decided we HAD to go.  I refuse to pay for that, so we are helping with the stage set up and going for free.  Should be very entertaining!

    @MSU_Girl1202‌ those are exactly my plans for the day. DH has some work to finish this morning and I guess I'll finish the laundry I started :-q Afterwards we are headed down to the aquarium for a bit, and maybe dinner in the city.

    Good morning ladies! That wine tasting sounds like a nice Saturday afternoon!

    DH and I went for a short walk this am and now we are heading to see a friend in NYC. It's a little over a 2 hr drive, so we are just making it a day trip.

    Good morning lovely ladies :)  I'm exhausted today and work has been kicking my butt, so we are probably taking things pretty easy. I'm also doing a 6 week diet bet so I'm trying to work up the energy to go walk on the treadmill or do a workout video.  It's already 85 degrees and humid and is likely to hit 100 degrees today with a heat index of 105, so we'll probably be hanging out indoors today :)  Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

    Morning lovelies! It's a rainy dreary Saturday here which is messing with my plans. My dad and his wife are coming for dinner and staying over. My whole meal was planned on the grill so now it's off to the grocery store for plan b.

    @rubysi, sorry about CD 1.

    AFM, I was up early this morning too to run a 5k. It was about 65 degrees, dry, and sunny at the start time, so the weather was perfect for a run. The route was mostly shaded too, so that was nice. I ran an average of a 10.08 min. mile, which is really good for me, so I'm pleased with the results. :)

    My H is working on homework right now, but once he's done, we're probably going to go for a hike. It's too beautiful out to sit in the house.

    We're just laying around until we head off to the wrap party for the board members that puts on our towns festival. There will be lots of drinking, drunk gummie bears, and puddin shots. The one night a year where we try to pretend we're all in our 20s again. Expecting all kinds of fun and laughs.

    We've had a busy weekend already over here! SO and I spent the evening reconnecting- we talked around the fire and then cuddled on the couch and watched a movie. We were up way too late though!

    So far today I've gone to the farmers market and bought the rest of what I needed to make and jar salsa. I've already got crockpot apple butter going! Then I went to SILs for lunch and now I'm relaxing with SO and then he's off with his buddies and I'm making salsa! I also need to make a batch of gf cupcakes this evening so I have some to freeze whenever we need them.

    Sorry just saw this.  Drunk Gummie Bears - take a bag of gummies (can be bears or worms - but since they become slippery I suggest the bears as they are easier to then eat with a spoon).  Put them in a glass container and fill with vodka (flavored is best...we like watermelon) or clear rum until it just barely covers them.  Let sit for 1-4 days.  We find one day is fine, but be sure to stir them every couple of hours or they start to congeal together into one large blob.  Best if served chilled, and in jello shot cups because the first time we made it we just had a big old bowl out and many got too warm and slimy.  

    Also at the party was frozen puddin shots which I highly recommend for hot summer nights.  This year the favorite flavors were vanilla vodka with cookies and creame pudding, and Rumchata in Chocolate pudding.  There was also butterscotch schnapps in butterscotch pudding, something called a "dirty girl scout", and "strawberry Daiquiri" - which I believe was rum in strawberry pudding.
