Thanks for updating PC! I have no suggestions, just wanted to pass along my gratitude for doing it.
TTC #3 since 8/2012 DX Endometriosis 2/2002 (lost left tube due to a cyst), PCOS 6/2010 BFP - 10/18/2012, EDD - 6/26/2013, Baby Girl lost at 22 weeks (T21), D&E 2/15/2013 BFP - 4/23/2014, EDD - 1/2/2015 Twin Boys lost at 12 weeks, M/C 6/25/2014 My charthereAll ALers welcome!
Maybe @CFearsy was referring to the ice bucket challenge and the 9month old Child. Not necessarily TP'ing them for crying or whatnot, but mentioning them in the TP? I could be wrong here!
Thank you for doing this PC! This might already be on your radar, but on the badges & siggy images page, would you please add the beautiful new badges that @paintdadanta created?
ETA: I thought of something else. I don't see a category or post about retained tissue or incomplete miscarriage. I would be happy to write one with info about what I have learned if it would be helpful. I know this issue comes up unfortunately quite a bit.

Great idea, lady. Those are amazing and definitely need to be out there for all to use/see.

I threw all of them onto a separate blog/site to make it easier to find the different ones including an archive for the ones available on the TTCAL Blog. I'll make a post with this information today since I completed all the requests I had received. I thought a link would be easier than having to upload all the pictures from the long thread.
ETA - Plus if we separate it maybe more people will read the etiquette instead of jumping to badges. Can't read the blog, you don't need a badge . . .
Can I also PM you my loss and EDD dates to update the angel section?
Ditto this this as to my EDD dates. I'm wondering if maybe we shouldn't have a master Google doc accessible by link so we can all add our own EDDs so PC is not inundated with requests. I'd be willing to make the doc, unless anyone can see a problem with it.
I also meant to thank you - forgive me! It's early where I am (MST). Can I also PM you my loss and EDD dates to update the angel section?
For now, I'm just going to work on the blog content. I'll create a thread to have ladies who are not currently listed update their info and get to that over the weekend.

I'm working on the new siggy images right now.
I'd LOVE if you wrote something up about retained tissue.

No, I wasn't thinking about anything specific. I know that ice bucket challenge child mention was done in a way that was not complaining about the child, but rather the parents. I didn't have a problem with that at all! I just noticed that sometimes there are warnings and other times there are not (in the TP thread and everywhere). I just want to know if warnings are expected or if they're not necessary. I got the sense with the gelato warning (in the other thread that is still hilarious) that the ***loss mentioned*** warnings in intros are unnecessary but I'm wondering if that applies to the mention of children and pregnancies.
A mention of child or pregnancy should have a warning and some spacing.
The overuse of warnings is for a lot of thread titles. Of course if you are introing on ttcal then you will be mentioning a loss, no warning needed!
But not when they are hypothetical. You don't need to warn about mentioning a hypothetical pregnancy or a hypothetical child.
Thanks for updating about warnings! I posted a warning in my intro bc I was used to doing it on other boards. If my brain was working properly, I would have realized I wasn't necessary here. The clarification will hopefully help in the future.
I know @cfearsy already said she was not thinking specifically about the ice bucket comment, but I am going to apologize for it anyway. I did not mean to upset anyone with it, in hindsight I probably should have kept that one to myself. I'm sorry to anyone I upset/hurt
(If I should put an apology in the original thread please let me know)

I hope you know I wasn't offended AT ALL, I guess I used that as an example of a TP mentioning a child
I would love for the blog to be more active. To include daily posts and even images. I think it can be a really amazing resource if we work at it as a community.

I love this idea. It seems like it was designed for that, then just didn't get updated as often as it needed to be. Let us know your ideas And if we can help in any way!

PC -- Would you mind adding how to properly page someone in the tech section? Ie: PinkCamino. There are a number of newbies not doing this correctly.
I thought about this the other day. What about a weekly thread for tech questions like GIF, HTML, paging, etc. I have to admit with many people not reading the blog, I almost think a Newbie Bootcamp in addition to the regular check-in would help so that each check-in was a topic of etiquette (using poll and then discussion) for X amount of weeks.

@EurydiceNymph I have to admit that I don't know what the difference is! I can see that they LOOK different & I guess one is from typing it out and the other is from copying & pasting? Does it screw things up somehow?
Ah. On the 2nd one, it works for me to click on (i.e., it goes to PC's profile page). At least on mobile. But I'm assuming it doesn't notify the person properly?

BookishMomma) doesn't actually work. That one is done by just copying and pasting the username. Since the username is a hyperlink, it doesn't c&p correctly. To do it correctly you need to either right click and use "Paste as plain text" or Shift+Ctrl+V. Or @ and type the name, but some people's names are difficult to type correctly. It can be confusing because when you use the plain text or just type the name it looks like regular text until you hit post reply, then it becomes blue.
I have noticed that if you type it in the HTML box that it creates a drop down of options that you can select so you know the name is typed correctly. That's what I do, but you have to make sure you switch it back to enter lines unless you know how to code it.

This only happens for me on mobile. Does it do it for you on a computer? I wish there was a way to save your favorites so you didn't have to struggle with clicking the correct option on mobile...at least that's a problem for me.
Yes! Technically, mobile is writing in the HTML box, but you can access it on the computer. To the right of the smileys, click the button with the white page and red brackets to toggle HTML on and off. Type the page the same way but you'll notice the drop down appear as you begin to type. You can use the arrow keys or mouse hover to select the name you want and then hit enter.

If you're doing a weekly thread for tech questions can one of them be about how to change a siggy or avatar pic? It should be common sense but I know it happens more than it should that someone doesn't know how to change them.
Otherwise I just wanted to say thanks so much for doing this!
@paintdadanta I think it's a good idea. A lot of women come here after a loss or whatever and may not know a lot about technology ( 2 specific newbs come to mind who didn't know how to change their pics) so I think it's a great idea.
