My biological grandpa (my mom's father) died yesterday. This doesn't affect me a lot, I only met him a couple times (my mom's parents divorced when she was young and she had no contact with him most of her life, I was in college when he contacted her again). But it really sucks for my mom, everything has been crashing down around her lately: my dad died last month, and last Oct/Nov my grandma (mom's mom) died and I had a miscarriage. This has been a pretty crappy year for my family, especially my mom.
And more bad stuff, my ex-husband's brother's family had a horrible tragedy where one of his step-daughters killed the other one (both teenagers). I didn't know the girls, he got married and adopted them after my ex-husband and I had already divorced. But my ex's family were good people and don't deserve to have their lives torn apart like that.
Too much sadness and tragedy lately...

Very sad to hear all these things, you are right that at times when it rains it really really pours. T&P your way and I really hope that things begin to look up for you and your family. It is a lot to go through and deal with.
