AF cramps or other kinds? (losses mentioned)

Hi Ladies,

I haven't intro'ed here yet because I wanted to see the heartbeat first. Next ultrasound is Monday, so FX. In the meantime, I'm having different types of cramps than I had with other pregnancies (this is my third pregnancy, although I have no children :( ). Before I've just felt uterine stretching, but this time it feels just like AF cramps. I'm not sure how to describe that, but it's always kinda felt like cramping around my tubes. Does that make sense? So, it's more spread out than cramps I've had before. I had a small bleed last weekend, and may have miscarried a twin, but otherwise no bleeding or spotting.

Just wondering if other women here get this difference, and if anyone's experienced this type of cramping during pregnancy. TIA!

Re: AF cramps or other kinds? (losses mentioned)

  • You sure have been through a roller coaster of events! :(

I do remember feeling period like cramps during my first and second pregnancy. As long as you are not bleeding badly, from my experience, cramps can be pretty normal.

  • I see you on all the boards :)

I had cramps until week 10 or so, and they got fairly intense at some points. I was worried and called my RE (didn't see an OB until 11.5 weeks) and she said if I'm not bleeding red blood, they weren't worried either (I was secretly hoping to get an extra ultrasound). I'm sorry you're going through all this, and hope this is just a normal symptom.
