Nope! I always blast the air when my husband is at work. He's crazy and thinks it should be set on 76. I think that is way to hot! Especially when it's in the 90's here most of the time. It's ridiculous.
Our house is set at 76* and I have the ceiling fan on...I'm still hot. Then you have DH who is wrapped in a blanket. If it were up to me, our house would be much much cooler! Luckily we've had a pretty mild summer but it's still hot!
yeah we actually almost never turn it on at all. My husband never goes by "feel" he says "how can you be hot/cold, it is X degrees in here that's perfectly reasonable" I always tell him I don't care about the number its how I feel that counts. We must have 5 thermometers in our house he's such a gadget nerd.

I keep the A/C very low and lower it more at night otherwise I cannot sleep. Our electric bill sucks ass because of it, but I refuse to be uncomfortable in my own house.
We keep ours at 74 during the summer. If I had my way it would be closer to the 68-70 area. I did that last pregnancy but now I have to make sure I don't freeze out the children.
Jealous because we don't have ac!! ( And it's been in the 90s for months so that means I'm sweating like a man here. Usually I just lay low in front of my awesome fan but today I decided to sort out stuff to get rid of. Can we say stupid??
We've been keeping our a/c in the mid-70s. Usually it's ok because it's so dang hot outside. When I visited my parents house a few weeks ago, they leave their windows open at night (they don't have a/c so the idea is to let as much cool air in at night as possible to try to keep things cool during the day) and waking up in the morning with the house in the low 60s was glorious! I wish I could blast my a/c to keep it that cool, but I'm getting by with the mid 70s and otter pops.
We're lucky in that at night we almost always get coastal fog, so at about 8pm or so you can open all the windows in the house and it cools it into the 60's, On the bottom level of our house you almost never need to run the a/c, but upstairs during the middle of the day its nice to run it at least a little. We're pretty stingy overall, but today I just needed the relief. We bought our house in terrible non-livable condition, but one of the selling points was that even though it was 40 years old, the original owners had splurged on the upgrade of split level heating and cooling system. Almost no houses built at that time had A/C, let alone split for up and down. Our neighbors, many of whom are the original owners tell us all the time how jealous they were of the owners at that time, since no one could really afford it back then. Even now most of them just have a window unit here or there. Granted we had to replace the upstairs unit immediately since it was original and no longer functioning, but since many summer days are in the 90's its so nice and so worth it to have.
Glad I am not the only arctic mama today! Can't wait for fall, although around here its usually in the high 80's until Halloween But those brisk mornings and evenings are lovely
