s/o where to change a diaper

Lurker here, but the diaper at the restaurant table discussion got me thinking.

What do you do on an airplane?

We've been traveling with DS since he was 3 months old and there has never been a changing table in any of the bathrooms on the flights we've taken. We do a balancing act of putting the changing pad on the closed toilet seat and changing his diaper there. On one flight, an already disruptive family, changed their kids poopy diaper right at their seats and a lot of people complained, the flight attendants told them they couldn't do that at their seats, and they made a big fuss.

It's fair to say that changing a poopy diaper, not in the airplane bathroom, is a no-go right? In a closed space, where people are in close proximity, it seems sort of obvious.

We are traveling again soon, any other tricks for changing on an airplane?

  • That must be our problem! We love delta (aside from the no changing tables,) I'll look to see which airlines have them though, might be better once we have 2 LOs. Thanks!

  • We've never been on a flight that didn't have a changing table, but I have heard of people asking the flight attendants and changing a diaper on the floor in the galley.

Never in my life have I had a positive time flying Delta.
Weird. We almost exclusively fly delta and have never had a problem!

Yup, we're a Delta family and have never had an issue! British Airways is our other favorite, but I'm not sure if they have changing tables or not.
