Happy Tuesday ladies! Hope you are all doing well this week J

I gave in and tested yesterday and today- BFN. I can’t describe how disappointed and crushed I am. After 16 months being on this board, and not anywhere closer to getting my rainbow and I think it is best for me to step back from The Bump for a while. It will likely take us a while to save up money for embryo/egg adoption (if we decide to go that route) and I know I’m not in a good place to give support. You ladies are all absolutely amazing and I wish you all the best of luck in your journeys.

 

This is a weekly check-in for women who have suffered the loss of an angel with an EDD in June, no matter what the year.  You are welcome to join us, just post an intro including your EDD and the information below:

June Bugs:

@rmpar29 6/26/2013- I’m so sorry you have to rejoin us, but it’s nice to “see” your face again. What have you been up to lately? And is your beta down to >5 this week?

@MrsG80inTN 6/4/2014- I’m so sorry to see that AF showed. How are you doing? Are you going to continue with the same plan this cycle?

@kittymeowbark 6/21/2014- I’m so sorry you’re struggling. The anniversary of my first BFP was just as hard as my EDD and it stings even more when you don’t feel you’re anywhere closer to your goal (((hugs))). I certainly hope this is your month. What’s the plan for this cycle?

@newfmom7 6/27/2014- I’m so sorry AF showed, how are you doing this week? What’s the plan for this cycle?

@jbasore1123 - Do you have someone to take over the check-in honey?  I will if you don't.  I just want to thank you for being such a wonderful check-in leader and I will miss you!  Please let me know if you need anything!

AFM:  I sent the doctor a message and asked what to do after my latest test and she said to take a HPT and if it was negative then no further testing was necessary.  Honestly, I haven't taken one and doubt if I will.  I just don't see the point of wasting a test right now and frankly, I don't want to see a negative.  I guess I don't want to see a positive either so I'm just not going to do anything and go on with life.  She said there's no chance of retained tissue with an HCG of 6 and that it might take a couple more weeks for it to get to 0.  Since it's still almost 2 cycles before we try again I'm not too concerned with it.

@jbasore1123 - thank you for being such a great check-in leader.  You have been a cheerleader and friend and for that I am so thankful.  My heart hurts for you and your journey, but I will be praying for you and holding you close to my heart.

@rmpar29 - I hate that your doc won't just run the blood test for you... it feels so much less emotional (to me) that way.  I'm thinking of you regardless!

AFM - Yeah, AF came... the danged hussy... :-(  I had gotten my hopes up and then had them dashed.  We are basically same plan this cycle but the doc upped my clomid to 100 from 50 hoping that this will move my O date up earlier in my cycle.  We shall see.

Eh, crappily... I went in for monitoring on CD13 and wasn't anywhere close to ready... then on CD16 they couldn't tell if I had O'd and the follie was collapsing or I hadn't and it was gearing up... They tested progesterone and I hadn't O'd so they had me do the trigger on CD17 which means I should have O'd about CD19 which is one day earlier than I normally do... So, maybe I'll have better success this time around?

How big was the follie?

Yeah... I'm honestly wondering if we HIO too much... We did every day, as per doc's orders, after the trigger shot and usually we do EOD which appears to have been successful for us in the past.  I was just surprised that taking clomid earlier (3-7 vs. 5-9) didn't spur O to happen earlier if that makes sense?  And then my temps hated me... no real clear shift at all... I don't know what I was expecting with all that, but it wasn't what I got - lol.

@MrsG80inTN - that is more frequent than I had ever heard an RE recommend.  Maybe try to scale back this time to EOD.  I know it does mean anything for you, but I did not respond at all to Clomid.  No good follies and no clear temp shift either.  If you have another month of little response you might want to ask to try Femara.  A lot of women who don't respond to Clomid respond well to Femara.

@rmpar29 - thanks girl!  I actually asked about Femara this cycle but they opted to up clomid dose instead... so, we shall see.  And yes, ED for 3 days seemed a little crazy to me too, but they were very clear... DH was happy, until AF showed...

Hey ladies.  My most recent loss that brings me to this board is an October EDD but my first pregnancy was a June EDD.  My little june bug was due 6/15/2011

I'm on CD 7 and currently TTA for another cycle per doctor's orders.  I have some blood work coming up on 8/27 or 8/28 to check MTHFR stuff and Protein S levels to see what the protocol will be going into the next pregnancy, assuming we're able to conceive on our own (we struggled a great deal to conceive Layla).  Those results should be back within a week from the blood draw, and our next steps will be either aspirin and prayer or a consultation with a hematologist for something more than aspirin.

@CheesyPeas - I'm so sorry that you find yourself here.  I am taking over the check-in and will add you in next week.  I hope that you get good news from your next round of bloodwork!  Are you working with an RE?

AFM: The plan for this cycle is just lots of sex. Everyday. No matter what. I don't know what else we can do.
I am waiting to O which I finally got a Peak on my CBFM today. This is the first cycle EVER that my temps are so consistent. 97.3 every single morning. I had to test my thermometer at different times just to make sure it was working correctly. Really hoping this is our month. I begin classes at the end of August and it would be great timing. The TWW will begin soon and I am sure I will be frequently jumping on board the Crazy Train.

@MrsG80inTN- I am so sorry to hear AF came. Hope Clomid responds better this cycle. FX hun!

@rmpar29, thanks!  At this point, I'm just working with my OB.  She's an FACOG and seems to pretty current and knowledgeable on RPL stuff, so I'm hopeful that she can get me another rainbow but I do kind of wish there was an RE involved as well; we don't have one in the town where i live though, so perhaps my OB's office just consult with REs as a first step, similar to how she plans to consult with a hematologist if needed after my test results.  I did ask when I met with her at my post-partum appointment if a perinatologish would be involved in the the additional monitoring she promised with subsequent pregnancies, and she said no.  I trust that she'll jump to ease my mind on any concerns I have with my next prenancy but it still makes me feel a little weird since it seems like perinatologists are often involved after stillbirth from what I've read.  My town doesn't have one of those either though apparently.  I figured that living in a town with 150,000ish people woudl mean we would have at least one RE and one MFM but apparently I was wrong...

@kittymeowbark - FX this is your cycle!!!!  I never had good luck with the CBFM so I'm glad you are... I think it was probably b/c I used it pre-endometriosis removal surgery which likely had an impact, but who knows... I never could get a positive - lol

@CheesyPeas - I certainly don't know your OB or her experience, but it's been my understanding from the veterans on the board that with RPL you should really see an RE.  Maybe you could ask to be referred to one just to go over your OB's plan and see if he/she agrees?  In regards to the Perinatologist, my previous OBs have sent me to see one and he/she reviewed all of my testing and approved the OB's plan.  They were there, waiting in the wings if I needed them, but weren't my primary caregiver.  I would think your OB would want a Perinatologist to consult on any high-risk case.  Again, I don't know your OB, so maybe this isn't necessary, but I would ask the questions and try to see a specialist...if it were me.  If you are completely comfortable with her plan, then go for it. 

@MrsG80inTN - I hope that this month on Clomid goes better!  When's your first monitoring appointment?

@MrsG80inTN -- Sorry to hear that the monitor never worked for you, but fx that your plan this cycle does. I am truly rooting for you! This time around I am using the monitor along side temping, which helps me get to know my body. We will see if this cycle works.


@rmpar29 -- This is the first cycle EVER that temps are consistent, so I am really hoping this is our month.

Af did arrive a week late so (8-8-14) I think she was delayed because of going off the progesterone and the clomid. I had god awful cramps and had to leave work early because of them. My obgyn doesn't want to see me again unless I am having major issues or have a positive test and they never wanted to monitor me while on the clomid.. I friggin hate the area I live in. I've been in a super sad funk after visiting a friend who had a healthy LO that was due exactly a month after me. I told the hubby that if this doesn't happen soon I am going to need a puppy

towncargirl  -- sorry AF showed. I finally convinced my H that a puppy would help me relax about TTC since this is cycle 5 and still nothing... we will begin our search for a pup first week of September. GL to you!
