Looking for a Chicago doula - recommendations ?

I'm only 6 and a half weeks pregnant, when is a good time to find a doula? I have my first pre-natal appt at the beginning of Sept... Any recommendations would be appreciated!

hmmm, no idea, but maybe I can find out for you through my dr.  I'm going in next week for my 8w appt, so maybe they'll know.  I'm also in Chicago

As a doula I personally don't like to interview until week 10-12 at the earliest. www.doulamatch.net is a great resource

I am using Inner Strength Doula .. her name is Meg Smith and she has been absolutely awesome!!! I haven't delivered yet (any day now) so I can't comment on how she is during labor and delivery but if she is anything like she has been up to this point she will be fantastic!!
