GD and ketones

Hi, I'm from the Jan 14 board and thought maybe you ladies could help. I'm 16 1/2 weeks and just started GD monitoring last Thursday. I had the flu yesterday (no vomiting or nausea but high fever) and have been in touch with the on call doctor but I'm out of town. I will call my doctor tmrw if this happens again but on my Ketones test is registered "small". What exactly does this mean (wasn't talked about in my class) and could this be bc I've been sick? Also my blood sugar levels have been in the 90's. If someone can help explain the ketones test I would be grateful, thank you.

    I let the person I give my numbers to know and told her I was sick. She didn't really say anything. Thanks for explaining it to me!
