@Roses87 - did you ever clear up the milk blister? I thought I did 2 weeks ago and I'm still having issues. Huuuurts! If so, what did you do bc nothing I did the last time worked and I feel like it's deeper this time. Online, it said that the milk could have hardened and it'll come out like toothpaste.....que gag reflex!
Um I have had mine a very long time.... over a month for sure. Whenc I feel the area back up with milk I poke a hole in it and it drains. It become tender when I do that. It's so gross to look at. I had one before this one and its healed but there is almost a pit in my nipple where it was. I also had that one a while.
I have spoken to a lactation consultant at my work and she mention if it us causing a lot of trouble that I can go to my OB and get it lanced (? Spelling). Which um no think you... I do have my yearly in two weeks and plan to bring it up then. Although she doesn't know a ton about breast feeding so we will see what she says.
BFP #1 (7/13/12) MC (8/14) 9 weeks. D & C 8/17. BFP #2 (5/18/13) due 1/26/14. Grow baby grow! Its a surprise! Team green!
Lancing? Screw that! I can't poke a hole it it...I've tried. I can't drain it at all this time. I emailed my local LLL lady last night, so I, hoping she gets back to me. I spoke with her before in the beginning of my BFing woes with DD. She was helpful. I've literally tried everything I found online.
Hmmm I wonder if it's deeper. Yesterday I didn't get much milk out when I poked it. Does yours hurt? Mine only does when milk starts backing up or if I mess with it. I am just afraid of ignoring it and getting a breast abcess or something like that. Even if it is gone at my appt I plan to ask about it incase it comes back.

Lurker here... do you mind if I jump in? I used to post early on but then life got in the way and I only occasionally lurk now. Anyway, I had a bleb for what seemed like months. Every time I thought I got it, it would come back.
This is what I did... I could really only see the bleb in the shower, so I think it was deep. I also bled any time I tried to mess with it and it was painful. I was desperate so I popped everything in the area of the bleb, probably even injured part of my nipple. I then rinsed the nipple after every feeding with salt water and I wore the gel soothing pads for a few days. I also made a mixture of hydrocortisone, Monistat and Neosporin and applied that after rinsing with salt water. (My mom is a lactation consultant and she recommended making this salve to prevent infection and/or to clear up any infection that might have been adding to my pain.) I just put a little of each into a jar and mixed them, then placed a dot on the nipple. You have to wash it off before next feeding.
I think I caused a blood blister by injuring my nipple but it healed in about a day. When that healed, I wasn't in pain anymore. For a few days after, I continued to clean out the pit that was left with a needle (but did not pop anything, just used it to make sure nothing was left behind.) It has been about 2 weeks and I am still pain free. I was about to give up breastfeeding because I was frustrated with the pain. I hope something in this helps you!
