23 w had ultrasound all normal but heart skipped a bit....

Doctor said everything else looks great. This is after my as scan where they confirmed everything looks good. Doctor assured me it could happen at this point and usually goes away later in preg or when baby is born and since everything looks good he said i shouldnt worry. I think i almost fainted though and im so scared now. This is my rainbow baby and i just want everything to be ok. Doctor wants me to come back in a week to scan me again. I did have coffee today and past few days and i read online tht could cause the heart to skip a bit but not sure.. Anyone had this? Thank you

    I don't know if it's the same thing but my son was born with a heart murmur that resolved itself by his 1 week appointment. I guess it's super common.

    Im also nervous why he wants me back in a week too... Usually i come every 2 weeks.

    We ate getting to the point of more frequent visits.

    I know it's hard not to worry, but try to trust your doctor. I'm sure everything is fine. If he isn't concerned then I wouldn't be either.

    This happened to me with DD- she had an irregular heartbeat I think around 4 or 5 months along? I burst into tears and was a nervous wreck. When I went back in a few days (and every time after that) everything was fine. Fingers crossed you have the same experience. I know how hard it can be to relax but do try to.

    The cardiovascular and neurological systems are still maturing, so maybe it is something that is common. Hopefully, given a week or two, everything will settle down. I hope and pray that all is well!
