**Jane & Viola**

edited July 2014 in Cloth Diapering
@unaveragejane‌ and @violajack‌ I havent noticed you guys around much recently. Since we are not getting a play by play of L & D I'm going to go ahead and assume Jane is busy w her mom and Viola is busy with her renovations. But just incase you are at the hospital, I'm thinking happy squishy baby thoughts for you both.

  • Yeah @theultimatesak‌ ...I had that too toward the end-"wow you look exhausted and huge!" Really? I slept like a rock last night.

  • I'm going to be pregnant forever. Today is my EDD based on LMP. We're also having our final final inspection today. If that gets signed off on, I might be able to relax enough to have a baby. But probably not. ETA: As I was writing this, the inspector came and signed off on everything! We finally got the city off our back and can just live in our house for a while!

I have an appointment tomorrow that will likely kick off some antenatal testing. Considering I started the NSTs at 37 weeks last time, and I've made it until my EDD with no swelling and BP problems this time, it's not going to be so bad. The logistics of testing with a toddler will be interesting. My husband is still in denial that this is happening and hasn't really made arrangements to take time off work. He's starting a new employee tomorrow! Yeah, a day after my EDD. Good job scheduling that new hire. So getting him to stay home with DS is going to be like pulling teeth. And I can't take him to NSTs like I can a regular appointment.

I went past my edd too, so I feel y'all's pain. And yes, every single day my coworkers had to ask if I was still pregnant, and why I was still at work. People just can't not say something.

You are also guaranteed to have significant contractions if YH leaves the house for an unspecified amount of time and forgets his cell phone and you're home alone with your toddler an no vehicle.

  • I'm torn. I would really like to experience a natural labor and delivery, but the scheduled induction last time was just so darn convenient and went really smoothly. I just wish I didn't have to wait a full week past my EDD while feeling like a ticking time bomb to get there. Then again, my last centering class is when I'll be 41w2d and it would be kind of fun to walk into that class still pregnant despite the midwife insisting that I will have birthed by then. The baby measured on track at the NT scan by was a few days behind by the anatomy scan, so I think my EDD is early anyway.

Yep, still no baby news here. I have revised my EDD and decided that I'll probably be pregnant until Christmas. I'm trying to be patient, but honestly I'm just tired of the waiting game and random people asking me when I'm going to hurry up and have this baby. A friend of mine were talking about it the other day, and she said, "You must have a nice womb." I thought that was about the nicest thing anyone could have said!
I think the thing that bothered me the most about going past my due date was all of the people asking me, "Still pregnant?" I really wanted to tell them, "No, I'm not, I'm just awkwardly fat and the baby is off at college."
my favorite part about the end of pregnancy is all the people that tell me how miserable i must be and how exhausted i look.  nope, was actually feeling pretty good today until you pointed out that I look like crap.  kthanksbye.

We had a big Mexican family reunion this weekend on DH's side. Pretty much anyone who talked to me asked about my EDD, having my hands full with 2u2, etc. Ppl closer to me did say how tired I looked (SILs and such), but to be fair, the entire weekend felt like an exercise in exhaustion and uncomfortable ness.
