Hey everyone, I would really appreciate some guidance. I need a good wrap for a newborn that will be used to go on day trips, hiking etc. It will be used by both hubby and I. I heard Storch Leos are sturdy but really hard to break in. I am also looking at the Girasol graphite diamond which looks just like the Leo B&W. Inda Jani is having a sale right now also but I heard their wraps are super thick and difficult with newborns. I also was recommended that Didy Lisca for a good newborn wrap....any suggestions?
There are a lot of mamas here with more experience wrapping than I have, but I will throw in my two cents in case it is helpful. For a newborn, I preferred the softest wraps possible and mostly just used a stretchy. I tried a nearly-new Storch when my guy was a couple months old, and as a newbie I still found it way too thick and hard to get a good wrap. Maybe you can find a used one that is already broken in? I have a Vatanai whales now that I love. The only thing I would change is if there were a way to make it more supportive, it can be a little diggy on my shoulders if I don't get the passes completely right.
Tl;dr The best advice I got was to pick a wrap I love the look and feel of because that's what I would use the most
I have a storch Leo and I love it but I wouldn't use it on a newborn, not soft and cuddly enough. Have you followed the baby wearing swap on Facebook, you could get a broken in soft wrap that might be perfect?
