1st 50mg clomid cycle experience !

I'm new to this so sorry if I do/get something wrong.
Me and my husband have been trying it 2 years now on our own.
I have started clomid on the 10th July and took it for 5 days.
Symptom wise I was very emotional! Apart from that all normal.
Until the past 7 days have been weird. Feels like AF is coming just really early x2.
I've been getting mild cramps, constant pressure, off food, bald patches on my tongue and weird metal taste, headaches when I wake up, on and of nausea, chest pains just today and twinges..
I just feel weird and hoping it's normal when on clomid. I had a scan on cd12 on the 21st July and showed folicals ready which I'm really happy about. So we've bd a lot. I just feel really off! And don't want to feel like this and get my hopes up.
Did anyone else have a off putting 1 cycle?
Plus sex was painful did anyone get that? Find it funny that's you take pills to help you get pregnant but sex is painful :-)

Apologies for the long rant I just needed to ask and vent it's hard as you now ttc. Xxx

I'm not sure what about what you're feeling is making you 'hopeful', severe side effects like chest pains are not good or normal. Please check with your doctor.

I did talk to my gyno In the end she said it was due to the extra hormones. She didn't seem too worried about the painful sex.

The chest pains have stopped it wasn't server just uncomfortable.

I don't think I'll need a scan until my 3months are up and haven't conceived. She said they would re-asses. I do have 2 more sets of progesterone blood test to do in 1week and on day 21

Are you hopeful because you think these are signs of pregnancy? None of it sounds normal and the fact that you dr is brushing off chest pains and painful sex that was previously not painful,doesn't sound right at all and you as a patient shouldn't be ok with a brush off like that. Are you not seeing an RE for your Clomid?

Um yeah. You need a new doctor who maybe takes your concerns seriously. Preferably an RE, NOT an OB. Chest pain? Even "uncomfortable" rather than severe- please be safe vs. sorry and at least call an urgent care. My mom is a cardiac care nurse and I've heard too many stories about peoples' hearts to not take it seriously.

Run, don't walk, away from ANY doctor that doesn't take chest pains seriously ESPECIALLY after prescribing a drug for the first time.

(And see an RE if you're taking Clomid..check out the newbie blog for more info about this.)

I'm in the uk on the nhs so don't think I have the option to change doctors.
Gyno was the wrong term I thought that what it's called but I guess not. I check and they are a fertility clinic, thought the doctors were called gyno there just doctors.

As for being calm/blahsay that's just how I am and I know I shouldn't be like that about my health! Luckily the chest pains stopped only lasted a couple of hours. If they come back I'll go to A&E.

Scan wise I had one they said everything at that time was normal. I have 2 more cycles left of 50g. Then a follow up appointment with my doc. I have blood test next week to check my levels so in a way there monitoring me.
