spotting may be tmi

So I woke up this morning and have been spotting only when I wipe and it's a shade of light brown. I'm 5 weeks along and just wanted to see if any of you have experienced the same thing and have had a healthy pregnancy. Thank you for any info you may have.

Thank you so much for the info. This is my first pregnancy and I am only 5 weeks along. I did call my doctor and left a message so hopefully she will call be back soon.

I am 7 weeks along, and a couple of weeks ago I had brownish spotting. I went to the doc and he diagnosed with with BV…. when is a vaginal infection. He said the spotting wasn't due to the pregnancy, but was due to the infection. SO he put me on a medicine and it stopped the first day I took the medicine and hasn't come back since.

How did he diagnose you with BV? I'm bleeding and they called it normal abnormal bleeding.

I had the same at 6 weeks and went Dr, I was told brown blood is 'old' blood and not to panic unless its bright red and gushing out with heavy cramping

I'm not gushing, but it isn't brown either. But not bright red. I'm so confused.
