Montessori preschools

Anyone here have their LOs attend a Montessori preschool ?  My DS is currently attending daycare but we are considering moving him into a Montessori preschool as I think he will thrive in that atmosphere.....

@cwallin500 sorry if this is late. I work near a montessori. I won't say which one, but I will say I would not send my child there. Children regularly just walk out the door and are outside unattended. Last week I saw 2 boys sneak out (with very sneaky faces) and start playing with a ball. It was a little rainy that morning so when the ball rolled into the wet area they were confused on what to do as they were still in their slippers. And when they tried to go back inside the door was locked. They knocked on the door for over a minute when I alerted my receptionist to call over there and have someone let the boys in. I think for as highly as they hold themselves to be, they should probably be a touch more attentive. If that was the first time I'd seen something like that I could understand a little more, but it's a pretty regular occurance.

Thanks for the info ! We ended up deciding to stay with our current daycare provider as he is doing well in the new room. He just needed to be in a more active setting and now he's with 2-3 year olds and starting to really thrive !
