They are coming off the washing line sooooo stiff. What can I do y'all? I wondered about vinegar as that's supposed to soften jeans but wanted your opinions first.
I don't worry about it truthfully. Usually I put them in the dryer with the microfiber inserts since those even I can't dry on a line in the winter. But during the summer I don't worry about it. Stuffiness doesn't effect performance.
i added a few oz of vinegar to my middle rinse cycle with kiddo's diapers. i forget whether it seemed to make any sort of difference. i haven't done any vinegar yet this time around, but i might consider it.
all of my diapers (elementals - organic cotton inside, PUL outside) have holes in the edges of the cotton, so take my advice with a grain of salt
I just dry mine in the dryer. But if you wanted to avoid that you could toss them in when they are just a little damp and dry them the rest of the way. That way they should come out softer.
Apparently 15 minutes or so in the dryer before the line works better than after, but I always do after (mostly for bugs and because it's humid). Vinegar can make hard water problems worse so I would avoid it.
