Trying to Get Pregnant

Early pregnancy symptoms?

Ok people I'll keep this short.
I have PCOS, my periods are never regular therefore I never know when i ovulate or if I did, if my body is even capable of releasing an egg. My husband and I are TTC for only two months now. This month my period is technically two weeks late. I've tested and nothing, however I've been having weird symtoms like: mild heartburn (which I never get) , sore nipples but on a scale of 1-10 soreness they are prob a 5, off and on shooting pain down the side of my breast and under arm also back pain and there were two days that I felt super dizzy, taking naps daily and hungry often. I don't know if I'm just going crazy or what? Help ladies :0

TMI: my cervix is high, semi soft and CM is EW and very mucusy.

Take a test every week and keep having sex.  If you hit CD 60, call your doctor to start your period.

No one can tell if you are pregnant over the internet.  You might be just ovulating now.

Otherwise, do what Fuzzy said above.

  • I'm new to all this, so please be nice. Just going on here for answers or help. I don't know how to temp I've read about it but my prob is that my body temp is always low too. It's anywhere from 96.9 to 97.4

    1) Read the newbie blog - that will answer almost every question you could possibly have.

    2) "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" - that will answer any the newbie blog may have missed - or at least go further into details.

    3) Next cycle start temping vaginally.

    4) You must be new, this board gets questions like this very very frequently - if we're snarky it's because it's annoying that the very first post is titled "READ THIS FIRST" and yet so many still manage to skip right over it and post their redundant question. Learn how to do the leg work of the reasearch you need - it will be both empowering and much appreciated on this board!

  • Ok thank you.

Hey, I was nice. I really tried this time.

Your low body temperature has nothing to do with it. My body temp is always low, too. It just means that your body temp is low.
Yes, temping every day at the same time will tell you if you've ovulated, but many people have different ranges and it does not change your ability to get pregnant.

You have a couple of choices:

    1. Go to fertilityfriend.com. Sign up and take the tutorials on Fertility Friend.  You can read them and/or watch the videos - they explain step by step exactly what you need to know to chart to determine if/when you are ovulating.

    2. You can choose not to do this and stay in the dark about your possible ovulation and make yourself crazy not knowing where you are in your cycle or if you are even ovulating.

I recognize that it may sound overwhelming at first, but it really is not, and charting can be a great tool.  You may not have any trouble getting pregnant, but knowing if/when you are ovulating will sure take a lot of guesswork out of the game.  If you do NOT have regular periods, my recommendation is you chart for a few months to see if you can determine ovulation -if not, you should see your doctor to get treatment for the PCOS.

Sounds like you could be ovulating now. Read taking charge of your fertility to learn about charting and use fertility friend. My temps are low as well, and I still ovulate and get fertile cm, etc. if you have such irregular cycles there is no way to know if you are "late".

As for pgr symptoms, tender breasts was always my biggest symptom. Like tender 9-10.

Not everyone here charts, and it's okay if you decide not to, but it would likely be helpful over stressing about whether you are ovulating, where you are in your cycle, etc.

FF is free, by the way, unless you sign up for VIP features.  Once you take the tutorials, and do some lurking around here - you can try it and see if it is helping you.  Many people with longer cycles find it very helpful and this will give you and your doctor information about your ovulation if you do need to seek treatment.

Rarely will someone find temping/charting to be more stressful - most are relieved at the information that it gives, particularly in the two week wait after ovulation and before testing.

  • I agree with what the ladies have told you. Learning all you can about your body while TTC is so empowering and takes away many of those panicky questions that plague your mind during the TWW. I certainly wish I would have educated myself sooner.

Is nobody going to touch on this amazing adjective? It's my new best one. "This soup is all mucusy and weird".

    I just vommed.
