I love this post! I have pretty much kept my miscarriages to myself - family and close friends only. But the longer I deal with my new reality, the more I wish I had the courage to write, post, or somehow share these same thoughts. Maybe I'll get brave enough one of these days.

Thank you for posting. We were at my MIL's house with a bunch of family for dinner yesterday and I ended up telling them about my missed m/c and D&C scheduled for today. Well, DH's brother's wife pulled me aside and first told me about how she "has heard about this happening to so many people lately" and "it's so common" -- which just made me feel like she was minimalizing the hurt I was feeling. And then she told me "if it's meant to be, it's meant to be." Ugh. That was not what I wanted to hear.

Beautiful blog. I had a friend text me and say she was going to the store and asked if I needed anything. It just so happened we needed toilet paper and paper towels so I asked her for that. Not only did it relieve me of the responsibility of having to go to the store, she also snuck in a sweet treat for my DH and I. It was such a great surprise finding a treat and knowing that she loved us and was there for us.
