BFP than a BFN!! Help!! :'(

Hey ladies... I'm new around here, my name is Monika and I am 14DPO today and feeling kind of sad. I took a test at 12 dpo and got a faint postive... It was a EPT. But than I got a negative on a FRER at 13dpo and now I'm totally discouraged. AF is due on Wednesday. I want to test but I'm afraid of being discouraged again... And to add to it I now kinda feel like AF is coming but I have been crampy since 3dpo which is not normal for me. So confused! Help! Anyone experience anything like this and still ended up pregnant?! Thanks ladies! I've attached a picture of the positive test.... Faint positive that is!

Try to stay away from blue dye test in the future. I'm sorry for the limbo of not being sure what's happening, buy try to stick with pink dye tests.

Eta: First Response Early Response (FRER) is what most of us use to confirm, and many test with cheapies like Wondfos or Dollar Store tests. All pink dye.

Ugh, I thought so. so sad.... Maybe this just isn't my month. It's crazy the change in your attitude a lil positive can give you. thanks ladies. I didn't know that about blue dyes... Why is that?

I have a dollar store maybe I'll try tomm if I can work up the courage. This sucks.

@akinom9536‌ : I think because the dark blue dye can be similar to an Evap. They tend to be so similar. Pink dye with first morning urine. Good luck.

I had an Ept that looked just like that and all the other tests were BFN, I think it was definitely an evap line, my AF showed up 2 days later.

Not to say that this is exactly like my situation, but a year or two ago I got FOUR blue dye tests that looked exactly like your picture. I ended up telling my SO, getting excited, calling my doctor and making an appointment for blood work. My blood work came back negative and I was crushed.

I don't know if this is true, but my dr told me that, to be positive on a blue dye test, the positive line has to be as thick as the horizontal line. If it is thinner, she said it's an evap. Moral of the story, I would never use blue dye again and I let everyone I know not to use them.

I would definitely test again with pink dye. Good luck!!

Yes now that I know I won't be using blue dyes again. I have two left so I'll prob use those and I have a dollar store pink. Uhh well we haven't been like trying trying to conceive.. But we weren't using protection. And than this month we actually tried for it and he came in me the night before I ovulated. I mean I think I ovulated that day, I usually can tell when I do I get significant cramps. I've charted in the past a little but I haven't lately. I'm going to start this month though when AF comes.... Any tips? Thanks again ladies. XXOX

I like the Fertility Friend. Also I temp vaginally because mouth breathing would make my chart even more of a mess than it already is.

This happened to me as well and unfortunately it is a chemical pregnancy. Got a positive on my FRER for a few days and then it went to negative. I started bleeding a few days later. It means your egg was fertilized but never attached. I am sorry. I know how sad and frustrating it is.
