So I heard from a friend that her doctor told her not to watch scary movies because if she gets scared enough her brain will release some kind of chemical that could cause her to miscarry.
I feel like this is total bull, but I could know nothing... What do y'all think/have you heard?!

@reverey things that are not "out of line," as you say, can still be a trigger. It would have been a little different for me if it was shared in a "omg I can't believe how absolutely ridiculous this is, how could he say that" way instead of a "have you heard anything like this, and could it be true" kind of way, but I'm only speaking for myself there.
Ecat already apologized and we had moved on to the rando. This post here seems unnecessary at this point and that winky face is really rubbing me the wrong way. I can't imagine how someone triggered with this topic would take you winking at them about it.
@tromboner
Nobody accused the op of believing what her dr said, and therefore the guilt trip about explaining why the post was insensitive was completely unnecessary. Also, it had been resolved, so unless someone has a need to have the last word or sensitivity to triggers is somehow something worth fighting over, the phony attempt at peacemaking which translated to "I hear you but you're still wrong" was also completely unnecessary. But hey, there was a winky face, and that makes the condescension acceptable somehow.
