  • No matter how hard we try to get DD to use her paci, she still prefers the thumb. UGH. My DH jokes around saying he wished he cut it off and reattach it in a few years. lol

  • Pacifier, but he doesn't use it all the time. Just sometimes for naps.

I had to chose SS. DS loves both. He alternates between his thumb and paci.

DD is not a big paci fan despite my best efforts. She will suck it sometimes but uses it most often to just chew. We thought she would be a thumb sucker because she was sucking her thumb during one of our late ultrasounds but she just likes her hands. She will stick any random combination of fingers or even her whole hand in her mouth and life is good.

  • I said thumb but it's really fingers. Her thumb isn't enough for her. The more fingers she can get in her mouth at a time the happier she is.
  • DD sucks her thumb when tired, and sucks her fingers/hand any time. They apparently taste better if she puts them under a shirt sleeve and sucks both the shirt and hand.

    So stinkin adorable.
DS loves his paci. He sleeps with it for naps and bedtime. At bedtime he will fall asleep with it and it falls out right away most the time. Then he will wake up once or twice for it in MOTN. During the day he will want his paci too but likes to suck on his hands also
  • No paci. Sometimes a finger or a hand though.

  • She quit liking the paci a couple of weeks ago, and I haven't noticed her sucking her thumb lately. Before that she used the paci more than her thumb but liked both
  • Thumb. All of a sudden he's had a paci aversion!
  • She prefers fingers but loves the paci too

  • SS-she prefers sucking on her arm. She's never taken a paci and only sucks her thumb every once in awhile.
  • DD sucks her thumb when tired, and sucks her fingers/hand any time. They apparently taste better if she puts them under a shirt sleeve and sucks both the shirt and hand.

This. But since her bottom front two teeth broke through the other day she puts her hand in the shape of a "c" and chews on the sides of her mouth. Anything to avoid biting herself...she has realized those things are sharp!

We never tried a paci though since she is more of a chewer than a sucker.

  • Neither.
But I think I should have put 'ss' because the kid loves to soothe himself on my nipples.
