possible ectopic? scared please help!

I am about 4 weeks. We just found out yesterday. Due to some pain I went in for blood work and my count is very low. I have been having a pain on my left side near my ovarie. From 11-105 I would say its a 4. Im going for an ultrasound and more blood work on Monday. But if the pain is worse they want me in the emergency room. I also feel a dull cramping. It all comes and goes. Does this sound ectopic to you? We've been ttc for 10 months and im praying its not! Any info would be greatly appreciated.

  • This is definitely a question for a doctor.  However, I can tell you that I had quite a bit of cramping around my BFP and I am 13 weeks and progressing..  Good luck to you and best wishes!!

  • If you're only about 4 weeks, you count could be low simply because it's early on. When I went for my first blood work, I was just about 3.5 weeks and was at 44. A low number isn't a bad sign, what you want to see is doubling every 48 hours.
I've had an ectopic, and the only pain I remember from all of it was horrible neck and back pain, followed by a stabbing pain in my lower abdomen which I typically only felt when I went to the bathroom.
No way to tell you 100% it's not an ectopic, or that it is; but unless your doctor is concerned I wouldn't be. I know it's hard to wait, but that's what you'll have to do for now. FX for you and happy news on Monday.
  • I'm 8 months pregnant and the only symptom i had aside from a positive test was cramps.

I've never had an ectopic however I've read that ectopic pregnancies are extremely painful and it's when the embryo has begun to split and develop since there's no room for the embryo to actually grow.

  • I'm sorry - the waiting must be so stressful. I hope your numbers look good on Monday and it's just a false alarm!
  • I've had an ectopic, the pain was a sharp pain in my lower abdomen and felt like a really bad gas pain. It wasn't until a few hours later I started spotting that I felt something was wrong and went to ER. I was 6 weeks along and they couldn't find a sac in the uterus so it was determined to be an ectopic. It all happened in one day, one horrible day. Good luck, I hope it's not ectopic.
  • This happened to me exactly, I would have on and off cramping on my lower left side. It would hurt really bad for a minute or 2 then subside. Other times it was a dull cramp that would last awhile. I think it was just a cyst for me. I just went in for my ultrasound and everything was fine. Still if you feel like something is wrong you can always call your OB again or go to an urgent care/hospital.
How I love you now napsBabyFruit TickerBabyFetus Ticker
