Ok, I just got back from my 8 week, and my OB gave me a perscription for zofran. If anybody else is on it, how many milligrams are your pills? Mine seems like it's a small dose? Also if on it please tell me it works, because I'm dying with nausea.
Mine is 4mg with instructions to take ever 6 hours. It helps me most of the time but there are some days where the nausea is still around. I hope it works for you.
8 mg every 8 hrs as needed, for me. I always took it with a Colace (stool softener), because it can cause constipation. For me, it was a miracle drug. The only way I could keep anything in my system. I'm 37 weeks and still have to take it every once in awhile. The MS never total went away for me.
I also keep starlight mints on hand. Peppermint helps combat nausea
I took 8 mg every 8 hours, and it brought me down from puking 4-5 times per day to 1-2 times per day, which I count as a success. It absolutely will cause constipation though, so I strongly recommend getting on some kind of stool softener.
zofran takes the edge off for me... warning it can cause constipation so make sure you drink lots of water and get some fiber in!

I'm on the maximum- one after breakfast; one around 2 pm and two before bed. I went from throwing up 30+ daily to about 5x daily. Much more tolerable. I would highly recommend Diclegis. Good luck! Morning sickness is not fun.
My prescription is 8mg every 8 hrs as needed. It worked wonders for me, but still had bad days every now & then - but definitely worth it. As PP have stated, be sure to take a stool softener or up your diet with fiber. Hope you find some relief - good luck!
I took 4mg with DD and it worked wonders... I would take it when I was at work but would let myself just lay around when I was at home to combat the MS. It definitely took the edge off for me and was great to take when I couldn't lay on the couch and feel sorry for myself....:)

It isn't a miracle cure but it definitely helps take the edge off!
