2nd pregnancy and showing at 9, almost 10 weeks.

Hello Ladies and Congratulations!! I'm 9 weeks pregnant and expecting my second baby on Feburary 5th. I have an 18 month old daughter, Lucia,  so I am very happy that she will have a sibling so close in age. With that being said, I'm still carrying around baby weight from my first pregnancy but I feel like I am showing. I have had a couple people ask me today. Is anyone else in this situation? I wanted to wait until the end of my first trimester to share the news but I am considering just telling people now. I've had an ultrasound and seen the heartbeat but want to play it safe. Thoughts are appreciated. Hope you ladies are feeling great, it's such a happy time

This was addressed in a thread yesterday but the general consensus is YES - Many 2nd time Mommas are showing! I am only 8 weeks and have pretty pronounced bump. I am trying to wait to tell m sisters ubtil the 19th but I only have so many flowy, loose shirts!

I feel like I'm showing but DH thinks I'm ridiculous because I'm only 6 weeks. That said my "baby weight" feels a lot less flabby and more shapely than it did 6 weeks ago.

Thank you WanderingA, it's nice to know I'm not the only one in this situation. This is my first post and time on this site this pregnancy. I will have to look on the thread from yesterday to find that discussion. I might just go for it! Thank you and congratulations!

I'm definitely looking more pregnant than I expected to at this point! Even my husband has noticed a pronounced bump show up within the last couple of weeks. It was cute how awkward he was trying to express that I looked pregnant and not fat. It's always nice when your hubby says "I don't think you could gain that much wait in that amount of time if you tried." Awww, thanks for the vote of confidence honey.

Trying to find clothes that camouflage and not accentuate has been tough. Most of my maternity clothes are more stretchy/fitted to the bump, and that's not what I'm going for yet. I'm having to get creative!

I agree smg2302, it is less flabby and more of a bump. Probably bloat and my uterus expanding but I don't think I am fooling anyone. I feel my belly is giving me away.

I am almost 8 weeks with my second pregnancy and I feel this way also. I know a lot is probably just bloat and old weight I didn't lose, but this was SO much easier to hide in the winter months!

Yep! I'm 9 weeks tomorrow and I feel like I look 4 months along. It's getting hard to hide. We finally told some people this weekend but at work I want to keep it quiet. I'm wearing lots of baggy tops and running out of them.

I'm the same way! I have a 9 month old so I think I am just showing a lot sooner because my uterus hasn't had the chance to go down yet.

I'm thinner this time around with baby #3 than I was with baby #2, and I look about 4mo pregnant.

Baby 3 here and i definitely believe that is more than bloat i have going on right now. Its starting to harden a bit (under the mom chub)

I am 10 weeks and my hubby and were just cracking up about how pregnant I look already!  I think its fun :-)  I know a lot of it is bloat because its worse later in the day.  But, I'll take it.  I remember how long it took to look pregnant with my first so I'm glad for it!

I'm 10 weeks 2 days with baby #2. Some days I look more pregnant than others, so I know that it's mostly bloat due to hormones and my elevated carb intake.

I'm 9 weeks pregnant and have a pretty small frame and at the minute I look more like 'who ate all the pies' than pregnant lol couple people have said I've put on weight I just want to scream and say I have a person inside me but I'm really trying to wait until my first tri is over I've seen the heartbeat and everything's find but it's just incase..!

same here, Im 10 weeks and def have a bump at the end of the day.  My Mom told me I was "swollen" about two weeks ago, thanks Mom!

Ha! Hubby just made a comment about how we are going to have to start telling people now for sure because it is 'very obvious'. It is baby #3 for us too.

I'm due February 5th with baby#2 as well! DD is 9 months.

I've also noticed that I've been consistently growing each week. I definitely have a bump, so I'm glad I told people after my ultrasound, otherwise they probably would've started questioning.

I'm 9 weeks 4 days and if my belly doesn't blow me in, our 3yo does!! He tells everyone that mommy's belly is just getting bigger because there's a baby in there! We lost one before we had him so we were trying to wait to spread the news -- but it's easier said than done! At this point if we SEE you, you'll probably end up knowing our "secret" but social media and email unveiling will wait for 12 weeks

This is my 2nd pregnancy too.  My 1st born is 5 months so the babies will be 13 months apart!  I'm trying to hide the bloat and pre-baby weight at work with flowy tops.  I feel like I will definitely show earlier than I did with my first.   Nervous about telling work as I just came back to work a month ago from maternity leave.  Now I have to tell them in a few weeks, "Oh by the way pregnant again!"  Eeeekkkk.  But it's a true blessing, my husband and I are so happy to have them close in age.  What can I say, "We're starting our family.  You can't knock us for that."  Just work guilt- I guess.

I haven't started showing yet (just shy of 7 weeks) but I am verrrrrry curious as to what my bump will look like this time around. I was almost 6.5 months pregnant before people who didn't know asked me. I can guarantee I probably won't be so lucky this time around though haha.

Third pregnancy - 7 weeks 3 days and I've been showing since before I even found out I was pregnant....someone even asked me if I was before I had a positive test.

10 weeks tomorrow with my 5th. YES! I feel like it's mostly pushing up residual tummy flab, but it's totally happening sooner.
