Hello sweet ladies!  I am taking the thread over for Pele... Hope you all don't mind.  Sorry this week was late :-)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We are a group of women striving to live healthier lives, whether that means losing weight, gaining weight, sticking to a specific diet, counting calories, avoiding counting calories, starting to exercise, continuing to exercise or anything in between.
We check in on Mondays and follow up with an accountability on Fridays (our favorite post of the week, because we love encouraging each other and celebrating all our successes!).
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Many of us are using MyFitnessPal to keep track of our eating and our exercise. MFP is a great tool to keep yourself accountable, and because it is set up as a social network site, we can cheer you on there as well as here. If you are using MFP and have not found us yet, let us know so we can friend you!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Current participants - if I miss you, just jump in :-)
So, how are you all doing?  What do you have going on this week:
THE GOOD:
THE BAD:
THE PROUD:
THE PLAN:
QOTW: Where do you prefer to workout --- at the gym, at home, or outside? Why?
    Hi lady! Thanks for taking over the check in!
    The good: dinners planned for the week, bringing lunch, breakfast and snacks to work. And I ran yesterday! 2 miles (run/walk). First time in weeks I've run
    The bad: happy hour tomorrow, girls night Saturday
    The proud: running!!
    The plan: 1 more run this week and another work out. Continue my buns, guns challenge. Keep eating smarter.
    QOTW - I prefer the gym but I like to run outside
    Saw this quote yesterday, at the gym pretty much sums it up: "just when you think you can't run another step...you realize you're still 4 miles from home. So you suck it up and keep going, because that's where the food is"
    PgAL welcome
    @Megdowntheshore‌ sorry for all the things making you reach for a drink. But great job keeping up the exercising!
    @CFearsy‌ the quote made me laugh too. It's literally why I run outside - you still have to get back. Gl at Pilates tomorrow! And I count a med instead of a large as a victory
    @MrsG80inTN: Thanks for taking over the check-in!
    @megdowntheshore: ((Hugs)) for everything in your "The Bad" section. Sounds like a rough past week!
    @Km380: Great job on the running! That quote made my night! :)
    The Good: I was feeling a lot better (and a lot smaller / less bloated) for a few days last week.
    The Bad: It only lasted a few days. I'm back to feeling huge, bloated, and having no pants that fit. I likely will go shopping tomorrow because I can only wear the same pair of sweats to work for so many days! I also haven't made it back to my pilates class yet...oops.
    The Proud: I ordered a medium ice cream instead of a large when I insisted on stopping on the way home from dinner last night? I'm obviously not doing so well lately! :-q
    The Plan: Get back to pilates tomorrow and plan a dinner menu for next week.
    QOTW: I'm totally not a nature person and let's be honest, I would sit on the couch and eat ice cream before I worked out at home...so I prefer to work out at the gym!
    Take it one day at a time girl! The medium is a victory in my book. Hope Pilates is fun tomorrow!
  • So, how are you all doing? What do you have going on this week:
    Thanks, @MrsG80inTN‌ for picking up for Pele! This check-in really helps me. I hope you are doing well. I know you've been busy at work. Is it calming down at all?
    THE GOOD: I've been working out a lot - everyday since the last day of school on June 20.
    THE BAD: some stress has lead me to keep reaching for a drink. My DH's father is not doing well, my period is nowhere in sight, and seeing my parents interact with my baby niece makes me sad and envious.
    THE PROUD: I've been trying all kinds of new classes at the gym and loving it.
    THE PLAN: keep up the exercise and healthy eating. Cut down on my calories from drinks.
    QOTW: Where do you prefer to workout --- at the gym, at home, or outside? Why?
    I like to run on my own or with DH and to walk my dog...so, outside is my favorite. But I do like fun classes and watching trashy tv while on the treadmill at the gym...
    You've got a lot going in and a lot of emotions. Your workouts are great and the other stuff will come. Don't beat yourself up!
  • I'm going to jump back in with you ladies! I hope that's ok. When I stopped posting in this check in, I was kind of down and was having hard time being on the board. I feel better now and would love to give/get support while we get healthy!
    THE GOOD: I've been working out four days a week for two weeks now.
    THE BAD: I've been eating way too much junk food.
    THE PROUD: If I'm unable to workout, I actually miss it. I can truthfully say that I enjoy exercising. It is always so hard for me to get to this point. Hopefully I don't let myself get away from it again.
    THE PLAN: Get my diet back in check. I want to start using MFP again. I think tracking my food will make me more accountable. Increase workouts to six days a week.
    QOTW: I prefer to workout at the gym. I can't talk myself into sitting on the couch if I'm at the gym.
  • Hi ladies! Thanks for taking over the checkin @MrsG80inTN‌!
    I'm mobile for the next week and am not good enough at tagging everyone while mobile....therefore I am assuming that everyone is doing what they planned to do! ;-)
    Also, since I'm mobile I'm just going free text, sorry!
    I am proud to say I have taken @km380's buns and guns challenge to heart. I started Wednesday as the first day, took the would be 'rest day' on Friday to catch up, and am officially on day-8. DH makes fun of me because I still have to do a modified push up, but I'm pretty sure he's impressed with my squats.
    This week has been bad overall because of AF, which started Monday, and the stress of work before a vacation.
    I likely won't checkin for Friday as I'll be in Seattle on vacation!!
    Love and ((hugs)) to all of you!
  • @Buttercup509‌, welcome back. Sounds like you are doing a great job with your workouts. They say it takes two weeks to form a habit; seems as though exercising has become a habit for you.
    @MrsKush1014‌, the push-up part scared me away from guns and buns. Way to go! Hope your work week flies by and Seattle is great.
    The push ups almost scared me away too, but they aren't that bad (since I do the modified version).
    Hey @mrsG80inTN! Thanks for the check in. =)
    THE GOOD: Didn't completely kill my weight this weekend with the 4th of July cheats.. lol
    THE BAD: Eating schedule isn't completely normal this week due to other events we are doing.
    THE PROUD: Got back on the bike after a short break... 1 hour level 2 woo!
    THE PLAN: 2L water daily, One hour on Bike m-f, healthy eating 5 out of 7 days! woo
    QOTW: Where do you prefer to workout --- at the gym, at home, or outside? Why?
    At home because I can't afford a gym membership, and I sunburn too easy outside... I have a recumbent stationary bike I ride and watch tv shows off of netflix... lol
