Grace likes sweet potatoes. Not a fan of avocado or green beans. And I will never get the meats bc if I will not try It I will not make her. She can try them later not as purées.

Us too. DS is 6 months next weekend. We will just do a little rice cereal just to get him used to the spoon etc and then a week later I want to try carrots and sweet potatoes.
@RedSaffron - I hated poi when I went to Old Lahaina Luau. It's taro root, right? What's the coconut custard thing they make in HI??? Loooooooved that? Is there a better way you prepare poi?
@MiaMyPuggle That's poi, but the one you had is disgusting. I went to Old Lahaina once and it was incredibly sour. We buy her a better quality from Kauai called Hanalei. It's mild and never becomes sour. If you have a chance to come here again, try that one and with a little sugar. That coconut custard/pudding is Haupia! I can eat a tray of that haha. At your local Asian market, they might have it in a powder form and all you have to do is boil it with water
That's what we use here hehe. I think the brand is "Noh!" If they don't have you can probably order it online or I'll mail you some ETA: forgot to tag you @miamypuggle

My neighbors are Chinese and we are good friends, so if I don't find it at the Asian Mkt, I'll have her tell me where I can buy it or make her make it for me bc she's such a gooooood cook! I've only gone to the mkt to get the Thai Iced Tea packets, which taste EXACTLY like the real drinks from the Thai restaurants. (Sorry for post jacking, OP!)
No foods here either. He turns 6 months on Tuesday, but to be honest he's not really all that into watching us eat yet. He sits with us at the table, but not really into the food.
I suppose I'll start putting spears/sticks of different foods on his tray. I think I'm more looking forward to a few months from now when he just gets whatever we make.
Can't believe all the babies who prefer veggies over fruit! DD loves all of her fruits, prunes, pears and bananas especially. She merely tolerates the vegetables and absolutely haaaaates avocado. I found that she hates homemade carrots and green beans but will eat the store bought ones. Works for me! Less purees that I need to make!
Will be trying out mangos and peaches this week. Next week will be chicken. We've pretty much maxed out on the different vegetables for a baby her age, so we are continuing on with fruits, meats and other food varieties.
