Another Goodbye (loss mentioned)

For those of you who have taken the time to respond to my questions, thank you

I started spotting on Friday, and over the weekend alternated between bright red to brown spotting, with mild to moderate cramping. I also started losing my symptoms (sore chest, nausea, food aversions) two weeks ago. I kept trying to reassure myself that everything was okay, but I couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't right.

I went to emerge this morning after painful cramping last night, as well as more bright red blood with small clots and some tissue. 5 hours later, after bloodwork and an ultrasound, they told me the uterus us currently empty and measuring in the 8 week range. My HCG levels had dropped to 10 000. The doctor said there is no need for a D&C most of the tissue appears to have passed.

I had been seeing an infertility specialist, and just last week he handed me off to a midwife at my request (he said I would only need to complete

my first trimester with him). My first appointment with the midwife was supposed to be late July, but he phoned her and arranged for it to be on Monday. I felt really worried, as nobody had told me why. Many of you told me that they were likely trying to monitor everything closely, which I now understand.

My word of advice (I don't have many, I've new to this), but trust your instincts. My doctor told me to only go to emerge if I was soaking a pad an hour, but the doctors told me at emerge that I was wise to go in. I felt so silly going into emerge with cramping and bleeding, feeling it was minor, but am now glad that I was able to get all of the tests done, the answers needed, and a bit of closure.
