totally agree with pp! It will be great to wear sweater dresses and leggings during the largest months. And this weekend I was so hot (June in Texas) and just thankful that I was already carrying around an extra 20+ pounds. That seems so miserable in this Texas heat!
Just missing the holiday season... I feel so bad for people who get slighted because their birthdays are right in the mix of holiday season.

Definitely the leggings and sweaters and not being huge and pregnant in the summer. Also, I'd love it if the baby came two days late and shared a birthday with DH!
My due date is V-day and I love having another birthday close to a holiday. It's kind of a family tradition for us. DH's birthday is within days of (and sometimes on) Mother's Day. My birthday is within days of (and on in the same year) Father's Day. DS was born 1 week before Christmas Eve. So we LOVE our holidays around here.
Also I think it's so much easier to be cute and comfy in a cold weather pregnancy. I loved my pregnancy tanks and cardigans and skinny jeans and boots. Also, I was always hot and sweating, especially after delivery, so the cold weather will be a great remedy for that.
DS is a late February baby as well. I loved being able to cuddle inside with my tiny little guy during the dreary, cold, rainy March that we had the year he was born (though it was a PITA when we had to go to dr appts, etc) and not being hugely pregnant during the summer is awesome. I like the winter maternity clothes (jeans, sweaters, leggings, etc) much more than summer stuff. Plus there was something kind of cool about being pregnant for Christmas.
OH! And being in maternity clothes for Thanksgiving = awesomeness. I joked to DH that I was going to wear maternity pants every year for Thanksgiving!
We go together like a wink and a smile. June 27, 2009
I'm excited to be so pregnant around the holidays.
Also, I can't wait to make our announcement in late August. August is a fun time for my family (lots of birthdays) and we get to see family from near and far!
i work at a school to being off until almost the end of the year is great, then adding on the summer to be with newbie. i also love the winter maternity stuff...and i also love the summer so the fact that next baby will be a few months old next year will be great. better than having baby right at the beginning of the summer like last time!!

That is an awesome idea! I always end up unbuttoning my pants after Thanksgiving dinner...but then I forget they are unbuttoned and flash everybody my granny panties when I get up.
I have an excuse to hide inside during the tail end of winter, and by the time it is nice out, the baby will be big enough to be outside. Also, I'll be a human furnace in the cold months. After two summer due dates in a row, that's wonderful!
Mommy to N (3), J (2), and C (10 months). LO4 is due in mid-September.
Not delivering around any major holidays or too close to many people's bdays in my family. My first baby was born very close to Christmas, and while the most important thing is that he is a happy and healthy child, I would prefer that his birthday was earlier or later!
Also, that my 2nd will be a NB in the winter. I can reuse the clothes from my first, as they'll be in season.
-Missing the bulk of flu season with a newborn -Child will be about the middle, age wise, in their class -Not having the Aug/Sep bday to decide about putting them forward/holding back when thinking about kindergarten -Out of the newborn stage when summer hits and I'll be ready to be more active
The adorable valentines theme pictures for newborn and 1 year. Already looking at knitted props to have mil make, she's wicked excited too! She's a February bday too!
My family's busiest birthday month is February (like 10 of us including DH 2.6 & me 2.15), so I'm excited to add to the month of love!!!!
I'm happy that I won't be miserably hot being huge in the summer. I'm already a furnace. I have the ceiling fan/standing fan & AC on at all times now. I couldn't imagine being huge right now especially living in GA!
Also agree w/winter maternity fashion. Can't wait for cute cardigans/leggings/sweater dresses, blazers...all that.

I hadn't even thought of all the things with school, those are awesome points! Thanks for pointing them out!
Husband and I have June and October birthdays, so having a February will space everything out really well. And it's just far enough away from Christmas that they don't have to worry about gifts being overshadowed.
Since I'm seeing it often... DS's b-day is 2 weeks before Christmas. It's actually been sort of nice. We get bombarded with gifts all month, I let him pick out a few things to keep out then pack the rest of it away. Once a month, I let him pick out a new toy. It's like a holiday every month for him and we don't have to pay for any of it because it was all gifts.
I'll probably do something similar with this kid too even though he/she won't have a holiday birthday.

We have a Christmas baby too (1 week before) and I agree that it's really pretty fun. We usually have a party in the fall when he gets presents then on his actual birthday we take him to DO something fun instead of get more toys. Last year we went and saw a holiday light show as part of a local cavern tour. He loved it.
If this one does end up being a Valentine I imagine we'll do something similar.
The LO will be born in a month, where no one else in the family has a birthday and around no major holiday.
Also I am actually glad it will be cooler outside so I can actually go outside for walks and such when home with baby. DS was born in June and I was going crazy being inside all the time. But outside was over 100 degrees, so we couldn't really go outside till after 7pm. In So Cal there is no worrying about snow or anything.
It will be nice to have a baby that's not in the June/July months. In our family we have SIX birthdays (DD1, SIL, COUSIN1, COUSIN2, DD2, my Sister) between the two months. Although Feb/March is going to be big, too.
My dad's b-day is Feb 14, and he makes valentine's day about HIM, so it can be a fun day.
I was hoping for an Oct/Nov baby next year (whoops), because there is only one birthday in that area. Darnit.
It will also be nice not to be huge in the hot weather.
LOL... we have to be pregnant to do that? My plus size ass never got that memo.

Because you guys are cool parents...It really is up to the parent to make a holiday bday special, but I can just see it getting cramped as the years go by, or if you have multiple children.
Just 1 example My godsons birthday is December 26th and he is 10 now. Cant remember the last time he had a bday party? He has to wait until 1 time of the year to get gifts. (and not that its all about gifts and what you get.) but as a kid you just cant wait for it to either be your birthday or Christmas. One of his grandmothers buys all the grandkids 3 gifts each for Christmas... poor thing still just gets 3 gifts from grandma with one of them marked birthday. It just makes me a little sad.
