Good morning Pele! Where us vacation? (Sorry you've prob said) Love the quote!

The good- I think the increased thyroid meds are helping, scale is down 2 pounds although I haven't stepped on it in a few weeks

    The bad- no exercise

The proud - as promised my wallow is done and I feel ready to get healthy! Thanks for the support ladies

The plan - healthier eating, trying to get more veggies (mh and I both hate veggies so I'm working on disguising them lol) Its a short work week and my gym is at work so I'm going to not get mad at myself if I only go once

Thanks! I'm going to DC to visit family, and some friends I haven't seen for 8 years! I am hanging out with like 20 people total, so not restful at all!

I'm glad that you feel ready to tackle the week! Go get em!

Hi ladies - sorry I wasn't around much last week.  The conference I was at kept me crazy busy.  I've missed you all.

The Good:  Hmmm... everyone thought I looked awesome at the conference.  I hadn't seen most of them in a year and some in 2 years so there was a difference for sure.  It was nice that they noticed.

The Bad:  I think I ate 2000 M&Ms and the scale agrees.

The Proud:  I worked out all three days I was at the conference (I can't imagine what the scale would have said if I hadn't eek!)

The Plan:  I've got my food together and I'm back on plan.  Must avoid the sugar... Must avoid the sugar (I'm repeating this to myself to make sure it sticks).  Workouts - aiming for 2x per day if I can, but some days I'll get 3 in due to walking in the evening with DH.

@peledreamsofrain - I hope your vacay is fun even if it isn't going to be too restful.
@km380 - Proud of you for ending your wallowing and getting back on the train.  YAY for the scale moving.  Are there any vegetables you like? I might be able to help you come up with some recipes... I love giving people stuff to try :-)

    @Peledreamsofrain‌ have fun in DC!
@MrsG80inTN‌ good job keeping up with your workouts! Bet it felt good to get compliments too!
So mh's solution to veggies is velveeta which I think is gross and clearly not healthy. We'll eat string beans, broccoli, green peppers (not sure how much nutrition is in peppers) and corn which is good unaltered. Anything like spinach needs to be concealed in something like lasagna. Lots of potatoes get eaten so that's at least good. Any suggestions would be great!

@MrsG80inTN‌ - We missed you too! I'm glad that people complimented you at the conference, that must have been awesome feeling!

@Megdowntheshore -Beer and wine really used to trip me up too. I limited myself to just drinking two nights a week, and it really helped. I expect my diet to go to hell on my vacation too, since my dad is a wine columnist. There are no dry visits with him!

The Good: I didn't gain any weight this weekend, and I got in two great hikes (four solid miles)
The Bad: I ate horribly! But dang the ribs were delicious!! As was the pasta salad, baked egg casserole, and snacks on the camping trip!
The Proud: I led two great hikes through the Pecos wilderness and had to slow up or stop a few times to let people catch up. It felt so great and my muscles were pleasantly sore on Sunday evening!!
The Plan: I will either get to the gym or a combo of biking and the pool Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday since we leave for a road trip from Albuquerque, NM to Denver, CO on Thursday late afternoon. I will diet strong Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday because all bets are off over the weekend!! I am SO ready for the holiday to be over so I can feel like its worth getting totally back on track!

Hi girls- can I join in. Prior to my BFP, I had been dieting/exercising to try to drop some extra weight. I was hoping to drop about 10lbs before we actively TTC in the fall. Then we got our surprise BFP, then we lost the baby. So now I'm back at it. I'm glad to have you to hold me accountable!

The Good: Walked just over 2 miles this morning. My D&C was just Friday so I'm pretty crampy but I needed to get off the couch and move my body.

The Bad: Generous friends/family have been bringing food by, and most of it has been not the healthiest, but I'm allowing myself some comfort food for now. I'll get back on track diet-wise soon.

The Proud: I resisted eating an entire pint of Ben & Jerry's the day I found out I lost the baby. I made that pint last 3 days. Little victories.

The Plan: Back onto Weight Watchers, walk 5 times a week (2miles), Zumba every Wednesday, and try to do some abs a couple times a week.

And apparently I am Hilary Clinton. :)

@Amybunny30‌ Lady Bird was be nickname. Her husband Taylor Johnson was in office during the 1960s. She was best known for beautifying DC with landscaping and flowers (not herself, mind you). She also was the first First Lady to formalize her position with her own chief of staff and liason to congress.

I guess I should post my own update before I shoot my diet to hell :p.

The Good: I have been reallt diligent with yoga, and I am amazed by how much stronger I feel. I even took a two hour seminar on Sarlt to improve my positioning.

The Bad: Our dinner party on Sat went a little too well. I gave up when someone brought smores fixings for our fire pit.

The Proud: I am very proud of how much muscle tone and flexibility I've regained. I'm also proud that I keep going despite being embarrassed at the classes.

The Plan: when I get back from vacation, I need to seriously buy a 3 month pass and keep up with things. No back sliding dangit!

The Good: Weight actually went down...

The Bad: Did not exercise or eat right last week due to BFF being in town and doing touristy stuff with her and her hubby.

The Proud: Drank my 2 L of water or more a day though!

The Plan: Back to my bike and my healthy eating!

GTKY: Which presidential first lady are you?   I got:
     Lady Bird Johnson

Good morning ladies!  Hope you are all doing well.  Thanks for the check-in, @Peledreamsofrain!

THE GOOD:  Kept up with my walking, still no running.  :-(

Hi ladies! My gym has monthly challenges and this month is "Buns and Guns" if anyone is looking for some extra motivation. There is a beginner, intermediate and advanced option for each day and this one can just be done at home. I think I'm going to give it a try.  Thought I'd share with everyone. Hopefully the attachment works

Thanks hun.  I'm thinking of starting with a 10k to get me back into the swing of things.  I also want to sign up for a half marathon that we did last year, I had my PR at that half marathon, but it's at the end of October and I know that if I am fortunate enough to get a BFP before then that I won't be able to do it.  Not sure if I want to drop that kind of money on a race I may or may not be able to do.  On the other hand, signing up for it will give me all sorts of motivation to get into better shape, which was my ultimate goal after my loss and I haven't even come close.
