July 25 is my target date. If I make it to then, I want to take work on a day by day basis, like show up but not be obligated to be there, in an attempt to spare burning some PTO. We'll see what happens though. My boss still doesn't think I'll make it that long.
My job gave me the option to take an early leave ( all is unpaid including maternity ) and I am seriously considering it, especially since my doc has put me on light duty and restrictions due to preterm contractions. I would love to be done now (32 weeks) because my job is annoying but I'm going to try and stick it out until beginning of August. Babe is due August 27th...
I am done now because I am a teacher and am off for summer. With dd I worked until the day before I went into labor. I tried to go in that day, but since my contractions were 7 minutes apart dh made me call in :-)

My plan is to work up until my c-section date as long as I feel good and my doctor says it's okay.
This afternoon, I wrote an e-mail to my manager to give her my plan. I felt slightly crazy, as I typed: "I have a pre-op on Wednesday morning, then plan to come to work that same night (4pm-1am). And, then the c-section is scheduled for Thursday morning."
We'll see if this actually happens! But, for now, that's my plan.
I plan on working until I go into labor. My job isn't very strenuous, I work from home as a project manager,so barring any bed rest orders I plan on saving as much of my PTO as possible.
Last time I worked up to the day before I had DD. This time I'm getting laid off next Friday and I'll be off until after I go back from maternity leave. I work for a heating company and we always get laid off in the summer. It works out nice.
