Moms who scald their milk...

What is your routine for this? I have read everything on Kelly Mom and LLL, so I understand the process, I'm just looking for ways to streamline it or to make it more efficient.

I will scald all my milk at the end of the day, then pour into bottles for the next day.anything in excess of what I bottle for the next day will be frozen. I've also read this thread about scalding milk in a bottle warmer, which I haven't tried. https://forums.llli.org/showthread.php?297-Scalding-breastmilk-due-to-excessive-Lipase

  • I only pump about 3-5oz a few mornings a week, so I scald it, cool it in a cold water bath, and freeze it all within 30 min of pumping. When I worked when kiddo was a baby, I'd collect the day's milk and scald it all together when I got home from work.
