Finally out of my Lupron funk and question...

Thank goodness my 18 days of Lupron at 10 units is over and I cut it in half this morning when I started stims. I think I'm already feeling better but it could just be in my head. The Lupron was miserable for me, the hot flashes, terrible night sweats, headaches, mood swings, and feeling on edge constantly. I actually had to start taking Ativan just to sleep at night and not jump out of my skin in the evenings. My RE said it was because my E2 was so low and also told me menopause will suck for me if that's how my body deals with low estrogen (oh yay)!

my question is my E2 was 6 prior to starting stims. They told me they wanted to see less than 80 but 6 seems too low to me. My nurse sounded pretty ok with that number on my voicemail but I was at work so I missed the call and didn't get to ask. Is 6 so low that I might be too suppressed or is it normal to be that low on Lupron? I was also on it for 18 days and I think average is 10-14 before starting stims. Or will I really not know anything until my 1st monitoring appointment which is after 5 days of stims? I'm just so nervous that I'll be over suppressed and I'll waste 5 days of meds before we know. I guess I just need to trust my RE but does anyone have any experience in a low starting E2? My normal CD3 E2 is 40 (without suppression). I appreciate any advice!

I don't have advice, I'm sorry. But I am worried about when I start Lupron! I will be at 20 units for 10 days and then decrease to 10 when I start stims. I hope someone is able to answer! I always figure though that it's probably okay since te RE knows. If it was really concerning maybe they would have decreased the dosage?

No advice on the lupron because I just did BCP but I looked at my paperwork from my IVF cycle and my E2 was <11 when I started stims and I still got 18 mature eggs.

My E2 was 17 after the BCP this past cycle, and they got 33 eggs. My AFC was also down to about 11, which terrified me, but turned out to be meaningless.

Sorry I can't address the Lupron concerns, as I was on it for a shorter time. I'll also say for those who are worried, like @jencity9, that I never had headaches or any negative side effects from it (I have from other drugs, but Lupron was no problem). I think 20% of women have those migraines, which sound just awful!

Omg thank you @Pintobean39‌ @Hoping4LO‌ and @pblge‌ for easing my anxiety! I'm so glad to know that it's normal for it to be so low! I couldn't find any info anywhere and I was really worried. Hopefully I will get as good of a response! You have no idea how much better I feel!

@jencity9‌ I've only had a bad response to Clomid and it wasn't nearly as bad as the Lupron. I guess my body really hates low estrogen! Hopefully yours won't!
