Is there a reason behind that? Because I love my Olay. Nothing harmful in it that I'm aware of. It has no warnings on it that using it should be discontinued during pregnancy.
I read (I think here on the bump) not to use exfoliating beads as it has a possibility of introducing something bad into your skin since exfoliating is kind of like ripping tiny little holes in your skin. Thinking of using a wash cloth to exfoliate in a more gentle way, now.

Huh. I've never heard that.
I've got the regular cleanser that doesn't have the exfoliant in it right now.

That would be the exfoliant with ground up walnut shells, etc. not Micro beads. It has nothing to do with pregnancy, they shouldn't be used in general because they do injure the skin. As for micro beads, they are terrible for the environment! They end up in waste water and fresh water supplies. Some places are considering banning them.
The best exfoliants are chemical, like glycolic acids and alpha hydroxy acids. However, those are questionable during pregnancy. I took a break from my acid products and used baby wash cloths for light manual exfoliation.

Thank you for reminding me about the environmental thing!!! Microbeads are on my no-go list now! I had completely forgotten.
I still use facial scrub. Its homemade and it works awesome. Other than that i use the same stuffs as i did prior to getting pregnant.

Yeah, theres also an article on The Bump that tells you not to drink fucking tap water.
I use Olay as a moiturizer, Philosophy primer, a bunch of misc makeup, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and body wash.
Use whatever you'd like, they're all fine.

TTC since March 2013. BFP 4/13/13, blighted ovum discovered 6/6/13, m/c 6/8/13.
I used whatever I wanted and whatever didn't eff my skin up. My pigmentation was very off during pregnancy so I eventually tried witch hazel to even it out. Before I was using cetaphil. I used other stuff too. You'll be fine
Anything without salicylic acid, benzyl peroxide, or Retinol. Alpha hydroxy acids and glycolic acids are deemed safe.
I use a cleanser with benzyl peroxide in it, and a toner with salicycic acid in it. For the record. And I will continue to do so. The small amounts in these products pose absolutely no risk. There are no studies or documentation to support that they do.
I'm just stating the general recommendations if people want to be anal/overworried about it. I used a salicylic acid toner for the first few months because my skin was a mess thanks to the hormones.
ETA: Benzyl Peroxide and Salicylic Acid are class C, which means risk cannot be ruled out. They also both readily absorb through the skin. Of course, the amount absorbed through a typical over the counter topical treatment is probably negligible. I think the bigger concern is with the higher concentration prescriptions. Even then, some doctors may prescribe anyway, deeming the benefit greater than the risk.
Arcona -their cleansing bars are amazing and they last a long time (great with a clarisonic). I used to sell skincare so i'm kind of a bit of a snob. I also love some of philosophy's skincare products (but have to be careful of ingredients) and my skin has been super dry this pregnancy so i'm thinking of going back to the eve lom cleanser (the muslin cloth method is so relaxing at end of day!). I also love the Elemis line but won't use it much anymore because of the parabens etc in it.
I use Kiehl's Midnight Recovery at night and their powerful wrinkle reducing cream in the morning. I'm not getting any younger - I have to preserve what I can!
