Does anyone have any good ideas for the TWW?

I am almost through with Week 1 of the TWW and going pretty much crazy. This is probably not least of all due to being under-occupied (on vacation...at home). I just found myself daydreaming and browsing baby names on the bump. I haven't yet calculated when my EDD from this transfer would be, but it was next on my list of ways to past the time, and I was just considering taking a HPT tomorrow morning at 7dp2dt (we all know how that would turn out). Please someone tell me that I am not the only one who does this after transfer and remind me why taking a HPT at 7dp2dt is such a bad idea. Anyone have any good ideas on how to pass the time and preserve the little sanity I have left?

I test early and often, but I'm not sure it's helpful. I try to find a project, like cleaning out a closet or something. There are some pretty entertaining TWW lists online too.

I'm not an HPT type of girl, so, I can't relate there - but I feel like I may be in the minority.

I am absolutely with @pblge on the cleaning.  Pick out a big cleaning project - those can quickly become all consuming.  And, if it helps, you can tell yourself you're prepping for a possible nursery in the future, but you're not doing something that is so concretely and exclusively for a new baby - so, theoretically, it should sting a little less if (heaven forbid) you don't get your BFP.

And, it will be productive, and you'll feel good when you're done.

Also, schedule some nice long walks in a nearby park.  Exercise always helps me clear my mind, and I found my lack of activity during my last IVF cycle to be really frustrating.

That's my prescription - pick a cleaning project, take nice long walking breaks, and for the love of God, woman, limit your time on baby name sites.  Seriously, I'm not telling you to ban yourself, but be aware of the time that you spend on things like that.  I say, be cautiously optimistic - but don't set yourself up for a hard fall.

I have my FX extra hard for you, so that none of my "cautiously optimistic" talk will matter.

Disclaimer - I may be overly paranoid - I hope that I am.  Be sure to take my advice with a grain of salt.

I am a pee-er. I would have 3 wet negative strips by now if I was you! It's so cruel to do to yourself, but I can't help myself. I do agree with PP about staying away from pregnancy related sites to lessen the blow if beta fails you. I have so many unfinished projects that I could fill a years worth of 2WWs and still have stuff leftover to do. Please come directly to my house and I will put you to work.
I also enjoy indulging in trash TV and ice cream. The TV is to take your mind off things and the ice cream is for the embryo... they need lots of dairy, you know!

I did not test at all until the beta.  It helped immensely.  I also took on organizing projects at home that kept me busy.  i looked to see how I could help others, whether cooking a meal or a dessert to bring to a neighbor or friend in need.  

I know it is not easy, but it really did help.  Good luck!

I do the same.  I try to wait until there is a chance I might get a positive, but I like to pee on sticks apparently.  Not good, especially when they are negatives at first.  It sounds like a good week for summer cleaning or starting up a hobby!

I think it's only natural. I bought a very detailed coloring book for adults and I can really allow myself to get lost in that for hours. I wish I could get lost in cleaning or laundry, but I'd find myself on the pc or my mind somewhere else.

@Margritli I just echo others to have some projects to do.  If you were working right now I would stay busy with work.  Find a craft project on pinterest and do that.  I love walking, and I tell myself it helps increase uterine blood flow (not sure if that is actually true, just what I tell myself).  If you have a pet maybe work on training or new tricks?
 I also don't focus on what day it is.  Meaning, I'm not thinking every day ok I am xdpxdt, as I personally feel this brings more anxiety, I am searching for more symptoms, run to google, and make myself nutty.

@Shelbeans82  That is from  Secret Garden: An Inky Treasure Hunt and Coloring Book available through Amazon but I was able to get a few from Costco that were animal called "Color Me Your Way"

Thanks, ladies, for making me feel normal. Sometimes I think I am going nuts with IF, but this has seriously been the worse TWW yet. I think you all are right: I need a project. I am doing my best to keep myself busy and banning myself from baby websites. I don't have an pee sticks in the house, so I think I am going to hold out. Thanks, ladies, for telling me what I needed to hear. @Poohniki, adult coloring books = AMAZING. I will definitely be looking for these.

Hi @Margritli‌ I would hold out if at all possible. I caved today at 5dp5dt and was so sad to see the bfn even though I KNEW it was too early. I'm mad at myself so I encourage you to have the will power that I did not. However, if you do it, no judgement for me! Good luck!!
