Just a quick update. My first appointment went well. I didn't get to hear the heartbeat but I go for my first ultrasound in a couple weeks and the doc said everything looks great and on track

I also got new things to try for my constant nausea so that's a plus

Congrats! Glad it went well. Any tips for the constant nausea? 2 wks until my 1st appt. so I'll take all the help I can get!

@mle106‌ she prescribed me a new prenatal and told me to get some ginger chews and peppermint tea which I've already ordered from amazon

@mCole8590‌ awesome! How long do you have to wait for your u/s? I'm 4 weeks 6 days so it was a urine test and meet and greet today. Ill go back in three weeks from Wednesday for the u/s

@XSweetieO0O I'm so glad your appointment went well! I'm going for my 1st ultrasound around 9 or 10 weeks and then I'll get another one between 16-20 weeks. I was hoping I would get to hear the heartbeat today with the Doppler (that's what they did with my first) but I guess they don't do that this early anymore

@mCole8590‌ that's a bummer, I'm surprised they didn't for you either! Well we have something to look forward to.

my dr won't even try the Doppler for a heartbeat until 12 weeks, and maybe even 14. I also won't go for my first apt until 12 weeks. My only u/s will probably be the anatomy scan at 20weeks.

CdnFarmGirl08 I was a little shocked that they didn't do the Doppler today because I'm with the same Dr. that delivered my first and I got to hear the heartbeat at 8 weeks last time and only had one ultrasound around 16 weeks and this time I'm not getting the Doppler until 12 weeks but I have an ultrasound before then... It's a little confusing how their policies change year to year and Dr. to Dr.
