Is it normal to have cravings so early in the pregnancy? Also, I feel extremely nauseous the first thing I wake up in the morning, but its alleviated if I drink some juice or eat something. Is this how people normally deal with "morning sickness"? I get drowsy and tired in the afternoon, around 3:30 - 4:00 PM, but when I get home from work, I cannot fall asleep. Then I wake up in the middle of the night, nauseated, and sleep on the couch. I wake up again around 3:30 AM and go back to the bed, and then the cycle begins anew. If I don't eat anything, I start dry-heaving. I didn't eat a large amount of food before the pregnancy. I typically had maybe 1,200 calories a day, if I was lucky. Now I am hungry all of the time, and I feel like I am constantly eating.
I am use to being tired, but from sleep deprivation. I'm a graduate student and I work full-time. But I've never been this exhausted. Ever. I also never drank juice before the pregnancy and now I can't get enough of that or fruit. I feel incredibly lazy by not being able to focus on my work, my dissertation or my research. I am incredibly self-conscious about not being productive and I feel like napping all the time makes me seem lazy. Even though I know logically that I am not, and my body is currently undergoing massive changes. I think I just want to know I am not alone.

Re: Cravings and other Questions (Kind of an Intro)
My first, I felt like I had drunk a bottle of whiskey every morning until I had breakfast. And I napped through my lunch break every day.
Eating usually goes one way or another. You're either ravenous and eat everything in sight, or hate everything and can't eat.
